Why there isn't a full Italian version of DA2 but there's one of ME2?

Personally I don't know how anyone can stand localised versions or watch dubbed movies. Sometimes I come across movies on italian or german channels and it's horrible watching Harrison Ford speak german and sounding nothing like the actor sounds like. I prefer subtitles.
They're not going to make localised versions in my language any time soon nor would I want them too. Hearing 1 bad voiceactor voicing all the characters would be too much for me.Image IPB

I agree. Infact I watch now How I met your mother in English, because the actors are a lot better than Italians, and other series.
Though I was fine with ME and ME2. But I prefer DAO in english than ME-ME2, with the exception of male Shepard in ME, Claudio Moneta is too good.
P.S. Italy borders with France, Slovenia, Switzerland and Austria, plus we divided the Mediterrean Sea in varius seas (Adriatic, Ionic, Tirren). But I can't show you if I know that of if I saw on wikipedia. Image IPB

They did it to save space.

I'm not getting a Swedish version and that's fine. Because a Swedish version would suck dick-****** from Bulletstorm.

There are an option (toggle) for turning on subtitles in the game's menu. I always do - turn on subtitles, I mean.

I just wanted to see if you'd name SloveniaImage IPB. Supposedly not many Italians (those that don't live next to the border) know that Italy borders on it which I find strange because the bordering countries is usually the first lesson in geography everywhere.
It's sort of like that video of a reporter asking americans on the street if they know what D.C in Washington D.C. stands for. And no one knewImage IPB

Distrect of Columbia, right?
About geography, I think it depends where people studied, generally Northen Italian schools are better than Southern Italian. Though after watching my younger sister, the situation is better than when I went to school.

I knew that, when I was studying abroad in Italy; 2 of my friends and I took a train ride to... I don't even remember the town's name and we met a large group of Slovanian students.  And for some reason they quizzed us as to if we knew about Slovania's existence or not, which of course we didn't.

Game was designed with English in mind - jokes, special phrases, you name it. Some things are bound to be lost in translation. So if you understand English and can buy the English version, why choose any other language?!

That isn't a good reason for some people to say "Italian sucks". Though I agree with you, if someone knows well english it's better the english version, at least in my opinion.

Now, if only we could swap characters' languages from load to load. It might be rather interesting to hear different languages in different places. Everybody conveniently speaking the same language with different accents gets kinda... dull.

Agreed. Maybe he meant that the italian translation would suck.

Image IPB Yes, the "Where is Slovenia quiz" is something we do when we meet new peopleImage IPB It's just annoying when people ask where are you from and you say Slovenia and they look at you like you just crawled out of a cave(asking if we have bread and computers and that kind of stuff) and almost have a heart attack when they learn we're part of EU. Or they mistake Slovenia for Slovakia which is almost as annoying Image IPB

We never get (or want) anything localized in the Nordic countries, which is why we have no problem with English language media. You should learn to enjoy games/books/movies in the original language (with subtitles, if necessary). It's always a much more enriching experience and translations can never be as good as the original.

I am still hoping for a Klingon version, i think the tale of Hawke would make a good opera.
On a side note: It is always better not to have to rely on a translations, plus you learn that much easier, when you do something you love. I improved my english a lot, when I started to read books, watch movies and play video games in english.
And if you are still living with your parents and they get on your back for playing too much video games, you can always tell them, that you are just practicing your english. ;-)
