I want a Mass Effect 4 but it has to be with Shepard! No Shepard no Me4! And bring back the crew also. Nothing wrong with that.

I agree. It just wouldn't be the same without Shepard and the friendships that were made throughout the series.

After seeing what happen I don't think Shepard would get up.Then again they would introduce another character if they made part 4.

ME4 will be Mass Effect Online, I'm pretty sure. All the franchises are going that route. Torchlight, Elder Scrolls (Yes, next TES game is confirmed to be an MMO coming next year), pretty much all major RPG franchises seem to be doing it. They end Shep's story so that there's no single protagonist anymore and it's a "universe at war" mmo kind of game. Also with no ME relays, that means it's easier for them to add smaller regions of the sky as larger territories and just keep adding more. It'll probably be awesome for people who're into MMO's, though they aren't really my cup of tea.

They are leaning toward's that because EA believe that their is a market for it.You be surpise how many people play MMO even though Wow lost millions of players to Star Wars Old Republic when they release the game.

The creation of MASS EFFECT 4 is the only thing can explain what happen in the end of MASS EFFECT 3,  the end of the game was a dream, that's why! - I'm already waiting for that game, but I have some tips to BIOWARE about that, the dialog's in MASS EFFECT 3 are worst than MASS EFFECT 2, so I advise to make the dialog's of MASS EFFECT 4 at least equal than MASS EFFECT 2, BIOWARE will have less work making it and the fan's will be more pleased. And one more thing don't forget that Shepard's story is not finish and also the Ilusive Man's.

Mass Effect 4? How about a Mass Effect game in more of an mmo style, or like the elder scrolls games? Be who or what you want and how you want!

A Mass Effect 4 is possible, but problematic as well. The Relays being destroyed is not the biggest problem, nor is the fact of Shepards death (Iam going on the fact that Bioware said that ME3 would end Shepard's story, even if he is 'still' alive). The real problem is...synthesis. The idea behind synthesis is that there is suppose to be no conflict between organic life and synthetic, even between the races of the galaxy. If they do manage to do it, I think it would be a rather weak plot...what would be the main conflict? Everybody up in arms about being turned into cyborgs???
Also, the time, money and resources of having everybody be "cyborgs" in one version, just seems too much.

A Mass Effect 4, with a new character, and only following the destroy or control ending would be the best but also the easiest way to do a sequel...set about 50 years after, where Shepard's former squad mates would still be alive, including Shepard himself if he lived.

BTW, I am not a MMO fan either (the only one I truly ever got into was Star Trek Online), so I can only hope for a continuation with single player.

The game can easily be set sometime between the First Contact War and Mass Effect. It could start with the First Contact War, Shanxi would be a good starting point for those who choose to be human. That is assuming you are given the option to be another species. The rise of humanity would be a great story arch for the game and with the option of being other races you could conceivably have the option to love/hate, oppose/help humanity.

The only way we'd see a Mass Effect 4 would be if the Reapers were somehow still around despite the ending of ME3.

Otherwise, it would have to be an entirely new franchise.

Interviews have strongly suggested that any Mass Effect franchise game in the future will be set in the past, rather than the future, of the Mass Effect universe. But that said, it could be very interesting to see a future version of the Mass Effect universe in which technology has advanced to the point where people can travel between galaxies, which leads to a new conflict. This would work regardless which ending you chose.

And I have to say, if there are no asari, elcor, hanar, drell, krogan, turians, batarians, etc. --if any of them, in fact, are missing? Then it is no longer Mass Effect for me. They can add in whatever new species they like, but take even one of those out of the story without a very good explanation, and it just isn't Mass Effect anymore. The characters made the games as great as they were, not the plot--which, when you look at it objectively, is nothing new at all really.

I do remember once bioware said as ME 2 was in production that shepard dies. But it turned out to be something different. Many people thought shepard dies at the end till it was confirmed otherwise so you never know where bioware could go with this one.

A Mass Effect 4 sounds great, no argument's there. But what if they released the first Mass Effect for PS3 users? I would definitely buy it if it happened. I really want to play it(without wasting money buying an xbox 360). Oh and my pc is not a gaming one.

As probably several people here have posted, I do too, if there will be a new Mass Effect, I want "First Contact war".

Well, I disagree with those who suggest the First Contact War or other minor, inter-species conflicts that we know of, which were all rendered almost meaningless by the grander scheme of things we were exposed to in Mass Effect 3.

If there is a ME4, I want something big. I don't want to see the Krogan fighting the Rachni or humans fighting Turians. To me, after having faced the Reapers, those all seem like petty, meaningless conflicts. Plus, we know the outcome of them all. They'd be cool as, maybe, a mobile game or a download-only, 12-hour Mass Effect experience for $19.99 (I hope I'm not giving EA any ideas--or do I?). But if I pay $60 for a new Mass Effect game, I want them to introduce us to a brand new set of conflicts, at least as grand in scale as the war against the Reapers, something that will leave us in awe and surprise us a few times and corroborate Shepard's standing as the greatest, most badass mu'****a that ever lived.

mass effect 4's story writes itself

just take all the obsession with Prothean artifacts secrecy and replace them with Reaper artifacts

Spectres will be re-purposed to police the misuse of Reaper technology. And after the ME3 there will be a lot scattered around. What's stopping someone from taking samples and making their own horrific experimentations with them?

Eventually someone does something incredibly dangerous with it

And you as the player character and team stops said person

I'm actually loving the idea of playing as a Prothean. Just being able to explore all that they knew before the current cycle would be enough to cover a whole new trilogy. Anyone who's read the first two books in the Halo Forerunner trilogy knows what I'm talking about; going thousands of years back really gives a chance to expand on lore and knowledge that 'current' civilisations (in-universe) could never even fathom. Especially new knowledge that would shatter all our preconceptions and shock the hell out of us.

After all, I'd think that the galaxy would have a ton of secrets, and some of them would be the horrific type that were never meant to be found...

Mass Effect is such a big and richly detailed universe. They could do either a Human or Turian soldier from the First Contact War, a Prothean from the Prothean-Reaper war, a Krogan from the Krogan Rebellions, they could depict the Rachni war, theres so much to do. Hell, they can even fast forward say 1,000 years after ME3 and depict the galaxy's struggle to get back on it's feet.

Why does Bioware and EA think we would want to play in this universe as anyone other than OUR Commander Shepard, over three games I would assume most people (but not all) myself included have identified themselves within their Shepard to the extent that when you created him or her you probably gave Shepard your first name. I did, but yes bioware let's just end everyone's characters and introduce a new protagonist that throughout the entire game everyone will be thinking, I wish I was still Commander Shepard, I wonder what Liara and my kids are doing, what does Tali's house look like is Garrus there so on and so forth, but yes bioware worry about your *cough* EA's*cough* I mean artistic vision.
