The requirement for people to be able to import their Shepard into Mass Effect 3, was that in their savegame (s)he survived Mass Effect 2.

I highly doubt they'd even consider it but if it happened in a future game I'd take back everything bad I've ever said about them. I'd even buy all 100 DLC's no matter how ****ty they were.

Im not the best at writing fiction but it should be a few years into the future and new protaganist   with some relation to shepard.

Call me cynical, but how could these endings lead to any other conclusion? A fairly linear outcome with more than a few common plot points (relays gone, Reapers gone, synthetic problem still very much an issue, rebuilding, etc.) lends itself well to the notion of another trilogy.

Why else would they suddenly shift the entire focus of the story, onto something that was previously entirely unimportant no less, at the eleventh hour? Screams "New canon!" to me.

Well, for me, it would be a nice idea. It's just that if they were to make a new mass effect centering on a different character, I would very much like it if they give closure to Shepard's story first (So excited for extended cut!  ).

A few ideas I had...

-Instead of having one interrupt option shown at a time, why not have both shown at the same time? It gives a better decision making feel.

-Instead of always having the non-colored paragon speech option at the top right of the speech wheel, and bottom right for renegade, why not jumble it up?But I'm fine with the colored paragon or renegade speech choices on the left side of the wheel.
( IMHO, I don't know why they made it like that in the first place, it makes speech a breeze and makes you want to bolt through the game, I like considering every viable option first before picking what to say)

-Bring back combat dialogue (I miss everyone saying something during battle, like an engineer's "Deploying combat drone!" or when one of your squadmates compliments your headshot or Garrus' "Scratch one!" or "One less to worry about!").  The combat dialogue in ME3 in my opinion is very boring and non-interactive. Only people I hear talking during combat was cerberus and over half the time it is just one of them saying "Damn!" or "Taking casualties!" whenver you kill one of them.

-collapsible helmets, I am very annoyed by the sight of shepard drinking all the liquor in the galaxy through his/her helmet, I understand Tali's case where she used an "induction port"  but jamming the helmet's air ducts with liquor? So frustrating.. It's even more frustrating if you create a custom face and you can only see it when you are on board the Normandy or the Citadel. I remember seeing this idea on someone's signature but I don't remember who, if you are reading this, I support your idea!

- If there was to be a multiplayer similar to ME3 for ME4, please, consider first if its a good idea putting in 2 grenade launchers into multiplayer...(I got into a room with 2 people using strikers..Best way to earn assists..)

Honestly, Quarians have always been my favorite race and what I think would be awesome is if they made a ME RPG where it has been a hundred years or so into the future and you were on Rannoch as a Quarian and were exploring and rebuilding the planet and everything.

If EA/Bioware decides to start another 3-part story starting with Mass Effect 4, then the ending for Mass Effect 6 will include a brown, yellow and purple ending!

ME4, I believe, should be based on a new plot that shows the aftermath of the events in ME3. Given the endings, regardless of the one you transpire, serious changes happen. Maybe something goes wrong, hundreds of years later, over the supposed peace brought by such options and then after years of oppression a being rises up in the wake of his or her great grandfather's or grandmother's legacy and rises over the tyranny...that's just the beginning...ME4: A New Hope!

i think that although the idea would be nice to have a post me3 game, there is no mass effect without shepard so bioware would have to pull something special out the bag but personaly i agree with many of you, a side by side story from the eyes of an alternative protagonist would certainly go down well

Seems like an obvious choice would be to start as a colonial on the frontier trying to tame the wilds. You select race and class, with the game starting you on a different planet depending on the race you select. Eventually you would break out into the rest of the Galaxy and you could visit the worlds for the other races and play those quests to eventually piece together the whole story and have a big epic showdown at a final planet (that wasn't a starting planet option).

Of course, I've only just started ME2.

 they should do it like how HALO is doing it, new universe. Shepard isn't dead so they kinda should just keep him then. I say the reapers are not dead yet if you believe in the Inoctrination theory like i do and in that case shep and reapers are still around and kicking.  The setting should be that Reapers are now aware shep can't be indocttrinated and now see him as a legitamate threat. Shep finds his crew that he lost when he got hit by the beam and bam thye go back at it. Forces will need to be made again as the fleets and ground forces would be scattered from the retreat. Both reapers and fleets regroup after heavy loses and a new plan of attack is made. They can maybe also bring up the creator of the reapers themseleves and maybe take the battle to dark space where they chase the reapers off to. Then at the end me and Tali get married and Garrus is my best man and the crw is in attendance as maids and grooms. Perfect ending. Yes a 4th will happen no question. The glass is only half full in this ME universe. And no MMO single player is where its at completely changing the style of the game is just wrong.

It's likely that they will make some kinda spin off as they did say ME3 was the last in Shepards Story, but they most likely will as ME is a very popular franchise, I just hope if they do we have an option as laying as other Races i just wanna we Quarian Or Krogan etc

I agree with this. Something set sometime in the distant future. I definitely want to see a new trilogy.

So I just finished ME3 with the controlled ending. and after the scene after the credits, I think theres going to be more to Shepards story. Maby something around an replacement to Mass Relays. and an unknown faction trying to weponise them to finish the reapers work. Or maby something about the catalist and its race. thats the direction I think the serise should/will head. p.s. Bioware please e-mail if your intrested im my idea.

I wanted the ending of ME3 to be something like Commander Shepard sending a message to the Prothean Empire in the Andromeda galaxy, then he uses the Citadel to open their mass relays and the Protheans save the day. Then Shepard ends up in hospital and Hackett wakes his ass up.
