I know what VS is, but what does it stand for?

I think of "touching' as more along the lines of "heartwarming", so I think for that one...probably either the Tali hug for me, or the moment during the Long Walk when I realized that Jack was calling me "Commander" out of pure respect, which was a neat reminder to me of how far she'd come since she was first recruited.

In terms of just plain emotionally moving, I think the Quarian scientist ("Mommy loves you very much!" hit me so hard I had to play the message twice just to process what was happening), seeing how torn up Joker was after the crew was captured, Thane's romance, and Overlord.

Only moment which elicited a visceral emotional reaction from me. I wish all the reunions had been like that.

Yeah, Jack was one major ohgodIjustwanttoreachoutandhugyoubutIdon'twanttoinvadeyourpersonalspaceandIcan'tpresumeonbeingyourfriendalready-trip for me.

So while meeting Wrex remains the highlight to me in that sense, Jack provided the most reliable stream of human attachment.

Well, certainly not anything Tali-related. Like one of the posters above though, the recording of the quarian mother on the Alerei, "be strong for daddy!" was throat-lump-inducing.

For me, the most touching moment was having a drink with Doctor Chakwas, she just seemed so melancholy, and I always liked her.

Good moving? I would have to say the drink with Dr Chakwas, it was a nice moment. As for bad it would have to be when I decided it would be a good idea to do a sucky playthrough and the seeker swarms took Garrus, the screems...
The first and last time I let that happen, never again.

Out of those not mentioned already, Erinya from Zhu's Hope-related quest on Illium. Something about that whole conversation is kinda emotionally touching.

Reunion with Liara on Illium, by the way. The original ME2 dialogue wasn't idea, but it's still reunion with Liara (and I think the animation was pretty good too). LotSB goes without saying, but that's not technically ME2.

Definitely the message on the Alarei, though I must say Tali's VA is also quite good (especially the part when you talk about colonizing new worlds, near one of the consoles towards the end). Also Shepard's speech in the end (or Reegar's speech from "Rally the crowd" option). That whole mission is arguably one of the most emotional in the whole game. The background music adds a lot to it.

Also Jack's LM, Mordin's LM, Kasumi's LM (though that's also technically a DLC)...
