Ok, what has seriously dissapointed me is the lack of Garrus headbump in this thread. That was the one of the most touching part of the game for me. Trying so hard to make the mood right, and (after stuffing that up) he starts to talk about how he has seen too much go wrong, and he wants to make something right, "just once...". Always brought him aloing in ME1 and 2, and that just topped off the companionship

I'll add my voice to those that give props to the Wrex-Shep reunion. When they first spot each other and, surprised, try to get a better view around all the Krogan between them before just shoving them out of the way.

That, was pretty cool. They could have given the Garrus-Shep reunion a little more juice like that. Whether you bromance or romanced Vakarian, they could have done a little better by him. I often suspect that BioWare was caught somewhat off guard by all the Garrus shipping in ME2.

The LotSB expansion had some real moments, like the banter during the car chase between Shep and Liara, and the reaffirmation of their friendship or romance at the end. I had hoped that there would be better banter if you took Tali and Garrus with you on that trip, and was a disappointed when there wasn't. Part of what makes the ME story work is the team and the history - LotSB = lost opportunity. I didn't romance Liara, but if it meant that I could have her as by bud again on the crew of the Normandy for ME2/3, I'd put Miranda in the airlock in a heartbeat.

Finally, the dossiers in the SB files. Thane's letter, if you romanced him. Wow. I always suspected that that headset had a soundtrack in it. But Garrus' correspondence with his sister back on Palaven was unexpected, and it added another layer to the character that you hope is revisited in ME3

Yes, this. I'd forgotten this. I really like Bailey as a minor character and hope he makes a return appearance in ME3. And while it wasn't touching in the traditional sense, I also find Kal'Reegar stuck in my ME2 memory.  This is a character I wouldn't mind seeing more of in ME3 in a more active role.

Because getting killed by natural causes in the middle of a fire fight is just insulting.

I thought (when Shepard got to him) Archangel is being pretty nonchalant, could that be Garrus! And it is! Grin, he and Wrex are my favorites.

I should add the  postscript that I only feel that way about Tali when playing Male Shepard. When playing HaleShep, she's practically a sibling. (She goes all sexually aggressive on MaleShep. My MaleShep is quite timid)

And he does not; my Hawke looks like me, including that odd (and now hit) nose.

This is just to hard too decide on...ME2 was full of very moving moments.
A lot of mine are already posted here more than a few times...but some big ones were:
-The end of Overlord for all the reasons posters have already mentioned
-Those few and far between moments when we see the "true" Jack and realize she is, deep down, still a frightened little girl whose childhood was stolen
-Seeing Wrex
-That moment in the Archangel mission when it really does seem as if Garrus didn't make it

Haha, I always knew you had a beard Bann! And woops for saying that in that case! And if your maleshep is timid, then he is in a bad place as Commander Shepard, leader of the lustful Normandy loveboat .
