Technically you could argue that any RPG that is played with any form of tools (Dice, computer, whatever) is mainstream. At the core of RPGs it's basicly 2 or more people that collectively weave a story together.

There are a few rpgs which doesn't utilize any rules or tools aside the imagination of the participants, but they aren't very common
