I kinda have a deal with the bugs around here. You don't mess with me, I don't mess with you.
It works out great. They don't attack me and I don't attack them.
Hell, I even saved a spider's life once.
I was washing my hands in the sink and a little baby spider was stuck in the sink.
It couldn't climb up and out and was struggling to not get caught in the water.
So I took a little stick(can't remember what it was exactly) and I pushed it gently up and out of the sink.
It turned around, looked up at me, sort of thanked me(at least, that's what it looked like), turned back, and scurried off.
I kill anything that looks ugly, generally.

I've had tons of them as pets. Still have a pet Ball/Royal(Ironic, eh?) Python named Scotty.

I feel that they've got every right to live like I do, and I'd hate for someone/something to kill me just because they think I'm hideous.
So I treat animals with respect, and they do the same.
As far as I'm aware, I've never been stung by a bee, bit by a spider, etc etc.
Course, I wouldn't know about being bit while I'm asleep.

I guess it must be the eyes, they just seem cute to me in that picture
One a side note, I do understand archonphobia so I hope no one suffering from it thinks I'm making light of it any of my lighter hearted posts. I don't suffer it myself, but my mother has a fairly bad case of it, and me and my brothers were forever getting spiders out of her house (used to live in South Africa as well, so they can grow pretty big out there, not to mention the posionous ones)

Its very serious for some people on these boards.
I know that back before DAO when this problem arose, some arachnophobes thought they'd cancel their pre-orders or just not buy the game because of the spiders.

When I was younger I apparently (as I was to young to remember) had a spider crawl into my ear.. And It apparently laid eggs beneath the top most layer of my skin. A doctor had to dig them out with a needle.. probably can find out if that happened by looking at my medical records hehe. I'm still not afraid of spiders though.
Too much information. Way too much.

In DA:O there was a superman reference. I expect Spider-man reference in DA2.
If we get bit by this spider and survive do we become Spider-Hawke?

I have it bad and I live in Australia which makes it worse. We have some the most ugly horrible deadly spiders in the world. However that thing doesn't look too much like a spider. It looks the same as the DA ones and they were ok, my Ranger even had one as a pet.
I do recall buying Dark Mesiah when it came out and found out it had giant and not so giant spiders that look like a particular kind we have here that I hate. I never touched the game and left the room when my brothers played it. Also after seeing the Skyrim trailer I am terrified of encountering that spider in the game. It looks like the one in Lord of the Strings, I watched that scene with my eyes closed, same with Harry Potter....
