It's wrong to hate animals, but I'll make an exception for spiders.

Spiders are not animals, they are arachnids.  So, you are good.

Arachnids are animals.

Wow, that is AWESOME! You know what they say; the bigger they are the harder they fall. Good thing I don't have arachnophobia.

They are the one thing that freak me out in games, spiders, why did it have to be spiders.

I still crap myself when I play the first resident evil.

This is a little weird, I have no problems with spiders, what I do have is an irrational hatred of the number thirteen, so I'll only be affected if thirteen of those spiders come at me.

No the number, and anything that involves or includes it.

Edit: I guess that would include the song.

Ew. I just hate spiders but I don't have a phobia. Can't wait for my Lady Hawke to kill them. Kill them all!.

If you have a phobia of the number Thirteen, I take it you aren't a big fan of Olivia Wilde.

I for one loved the spiders in DA:O. Of course, I played as a Ranger, so that had a big influence. My pet tarantula, Viktor, also looks a bit like the brown ones, so that made me find them more cute than terrifying. I just hope they make the same sound when they walk. It's so cute!

The bigger the better I say! Why bring giant spiders when they aren't really that 'giant'

That's a big ass spider.

There was once a giganormous spider in my bathroom sink. I literally froze, I wanted to wash it down the plughole with a nearby glass but it was so HUGE that I was afraid that if I missed it, it would start running and I'd scream like a bimbo. So I quickly filled a whole bassin with water and emptied it over the spider until it slided down into the plughole, then I turned the tap on full strength for like a minute to make sure it would drown the spider or at least send it back to the sewers, the bottom of the pipe or wherever those things go. Reassured, I went back to my business. I message a friend of mine about my "courage" and she goes "did you block the plughole afterwards ?", to which I reply "haha, are you kidding, I just unleashed the forces of hell on that poor spider". We go on chatting until I forget about it.

An hour later, I go to the bathroom to get something and WTF, the huge spider was back at the SAME spot except it looked all wet, hairy and angry like a Blight Spider or something. This time I was shaking and all. I tried the same trick several times but the sink-blocking-thingy wouldn't go down all the way, and the spider managed to CRAWL underneath it (or push it up, I'm not sure) a couple of times ! By the fourth time I lost it so I went as far as washing it down the plughole again but this time with BOILING WATER Posted Image! Then I put a plastic glass above the sink all night. It didn't come back but something tells me it survivedPosted Image.

I am a vegetarian and love animals but spiders, that one in particular, just make me act irrationally.Posted Image Maybe cause they bite, break into my house, that kind of stuff.

Awesome! I've always loved spiders, ever since I was a kid. Favorite animal in the world. Only reason I don't have a pet tarantula is I would inevitably cry my eyes out when it died.

And here I thought the "giant spider" in Origins were creepy..especially how they pops out of nowhere from the ceiling..

But they still (IMO) don't beat the spiders in "Dark Messiah of Might and Magic"..those were creepy!

I don't really dislike spiders IRL as long as they aren't too big.

If there's something not to cut out of the 11 hours of LOTR, it's probably that...

Is that Shelob?

edit:
LOTR movies missed the finer things in many regards, although the sets, costumes, and battles were as good as it gets. Shelob shouldabeen a bit more menacing, Sam's stab wasn't 10% as potent in the movie as it was in the book, because the movie didn't give you any sense of Shelob's haughtiness... and how it led her to do something stupid.

It's quite the coincidence, that my post, in response to the first spider image in this thread... managed to end right behind an actual movie image of Shelob, Posted Image
