I'm definitely arachnophobic, and just about every time those dang spiders dropped from the ceiling in DA:O I jumped. Now I'll probably run screaming...
lol I'm not arachnophobic but I still jumped everytime I heard that annoying noise coming from above my character.
I hope these monsters don't pop from the air out of nowhere.

I flinch every time I see that picture, but I'm readying myself to deal with it in game. I will simply put the game on casual or mute, stay as far from the battle as physically possible, and send in other characters to deal with it while Hawke stands safely behind Anders or Sebastian. And I'll be looking away from the screen of course.
I'd ask my brother to fight them instead, but the blighter would probably lure me back to the screen at a particularly horrifying moment, like he did in DAO, when my Warden was pinned under a spider and the camera was zoomed in on her. And he wonders why I never make these characters look like myself...

The Godzilla of spiders I assure you. I know it's not funny but she freaked out and screamed over vent and told everyone she refused to open her eyes until we killed it for her. To this day she loaths this boss.

There were giant wasps in Resident Evil Outbreak that could poison you with their stings. They could knock you over, and as far as I remember, pin you down.
Also had giant spiders, but only a couple, I think, and the spiders didn't follow you far, so you could avoid them. And I always played a popular character, so that they would have followers to deal with the spider instead.
