Aw don't remind me of that.  Spiders completely (and for no real reason) terrify me so when I saw Morrigan in all her spidery glory for the first time I nearly threw up.

That picture of the spider in DA2 is vile.  Will there be a tactic slot which allows me to run past it screaming like a maniac and waving my mage staff about like something possessed?

Well, as an Aussie, I can pretty much say DA2 has got nothing.

Sure make 'em huge. Until they One-Hit you after sneaking up and jumping on you specifically just because they want to kill something, I'll not be impressed. Go to google and type Giant Spiders Australia... there is probably a pic in there of a large spider eating a mid sized bird.

Wow just looked at the screenshot and it makes the DAO spiders look like ants! I am arachnophobic but not when looking at images of spiders thank god

Nooo...! The spiders have returned and they're much bigger than they were in Origins?! Man, no way. I'm not firing up this game in my laptop until someone awesome writes a MOD to change them into something else.

I have arachnaphobia and I don't have any problem whatsoever with the bugs in this game, no matter the size. It doesn't even faze me. I don't know why. My heart does race after their damn sound, but same as that poison spear trap or w/e.

That is a rather lovely looking spider, I agree, as a pet or with a saddle. Imagine Morrigan turning into one of those giant beasties. They could chomp limbs off.

Ok, if anyone hears about a mod to replace those spiders with something else, please let us know. I refuse to fire up that game until there's a mod to remove them. In the meantime, I guess I'll have to play Cataclysm until then :-( and yes, I know there are spiders in Cat but they don't look NEARLY as detailed as the ones in DA 2 and I can avoid almost every quest that deals with them. Can't avoid them in DA 2.

I'd love to get a hold of the Devs and ask, "why?"  You know a lot of us hate them, why do you constantly put them in your games?  And they made them BIGGER?  No way am I playing until some genious writes a mod to replace those things with bunnies or something.
