At least the fear of spiders or snakes is somewhat justified, there are many poisonous snakes and spiders.

I''m gonna be a nitpicking bastard here and point out that it's "venomous" not "poisonous". If they're poisonous it means you'll get poisoned if you bite them, not the other way around (thank you, QI).
The more you know! :wizard:

EwewewewewEW! :crying:

Thanks a lot Bioware, I'm going to be itchy the rest of the day.  And my Hawke will die multiple times while I play the game because I'm too busy scratching at the invisible spiders that my brain thinks are crawling on me.

Not a fan of the "Children"?

I wasn't a fan of them either, no, because they were like milipedes with incredibly ugly, angry and toothy faces. Not as bad as spiders, though.

I have a phobia of people trying to stab me in the face with sharp objects. But I still play Dragon Age.

I'll be honest with you:

I have this with almost everything that looks sharp and / or is pointy. When I look at it, I just get the feeling that it is going to poke my eyes. It just... "hurts" my eyes when I look at sharp and / or pointy stuff. Especially when l'm sitting in a train, look out the window and see trees. That's just plain annoying.

Thanks to your avatar, I imagined the G-Man from Half-Life saying that and it made me laugh. That guy's always on a train!

You're not nitpicking. Lol. But, the fear is still justified. Image IPB

Weird, 'though, I'm terrified of spiders, but love snakes. 'Cept the little ones, those move way too fast for my liking.

No no no no no.

You guys are all missing the critical thing.

It's not about the spider jumping on you and eating you, it's about what Shelob did to Frodo in Lord of the Rings...

After all, who DOESN'T fear being put in a cocoon, paralyzed, and becoming food at the TIME OF CHOOSING of the spider?

Please don't say that!

I'm also claustrophobic! Trapped in cocoon, paralysed in a cave by a giant spider...

ARGHHHH! Image IPB

Sorry, but even I CAN'T resist this..

Just be glad I'm not showing you pictures of REAL 5 foot long spiders... or tiny ones a centimeter long that can kill you with one bite.

NEVER go to Australia.

Oh, I have no intention of going there. My friend once tried to convince me we should go live there. Insane woman.

And yes, thank you for not posting pictures of real ones. The moment that happens, I'm out of here!

Make sure to read all my posts on Page 6 for humor...

Oh, no thank you. I've seen that demotivational about real men and spiders. I don't care to see any bigger than the one in that.

But to be fair, I also completely wigged out during the scene in Peter Jackson's King Kong where the guy was completely torn to shreds by giant flukeworm creatures. Because that is my phobia, that flukeworms will mutate into giant beasts that can swallow me whole. I should be grateful, I suppose, that my phobia is much less likely to happen in the real world than coming across a spider is for arachnophobes. I'm unsure how I would react if it played out in a game, though. Ridiculous screaming, cringing, and cries for my hero to just kill it already, I suspect. (Set to auto-attack, of course.)

Isn't a deepstalker like a flukeworm on legs?

Hmm. I suppose my reaction then is to have Shale step on it.

Man, they grow 'em big in Kirkwall.

Wouldn't it be cool if that spider had paralyzing venom?

Enh. I'm Australian. I've seen bigger.

 Note to self, stay out of australia. And anywhere with forests close to the equator too. Good thing spiders and other bugs are pretty small around here, and you won't see them for half of the year.

Funny thing, i hate other big insects, but big spiders are i'm cool with.

No. Image IPB They were already bad enough in Origins, when they spit that paralyzing web at you.

Andraste's knicker-weasels, that's an arachnid of unusual size!

So, the wardens had griffons, can Champions of Kirkwall ride these things into battle?

That's a cool idea, maybe we can tame it, like that giant spider that came to live in your castle in NWN 2 OC, Kestral or something (paritcularly if it weaves cool magic cloaks for you like that one did B))

Always found it's not the size of spiders or even how they look... it's how they move...

...

Where's a really big shoe when you need one?

For some reason I can control my arachnophobia when it comes to video games, though, so I should be fine in the end. ...Hopefully.
