If you place something (e.g. restoring Nimbre mini-quests), do you use the override folder where your saves are (under "my documents" etc) or in the Program Files sub-subfolder of NWN2?
Question about using override folder...

The override folder in the My Documents folder.
I suppose if you put it in the Program Files override it would affect all accounts on your computer rather than just yours. I don't know what the hierarchy would be (does content in the Program Files override take precedence over similarly named content in the My Docs override or vice versa?)

Thanks. That's sounds about right, though it's a good question concerning the 'priority'.

Nothing should be placed in the game install override folder, only the override folder in your My Documents folder.

any particular reason? I've done it before, it seems to work just fine, so if its working what's the problem?

I believe it is there more for development purposes rather than end users, as well as hosting games. See the Builder forums for more information in that regard.
What you place in there affects all user accounts on a computer, what you place the (My) Documents folder affects only the player account containing the override files in that folder.
