So have we reached consensus yet? Are EA bribing every reviewer on the planet or is DA2 nowhere near as bad as some people have tried to make it out to be? Is it, in fact, quite good?
Oh wait, now the argument is that it is a failure unless it gets ME2-like scores, right?
Gamespot and Edge are odds on favourites for a controversial low score I would guess. You can never tell which way Destructoid will go. Regardless it's much more interesting to see what is getting praised and what isn't, going off past interviews Bioware tend to take critical feedback seriously with a franchise so anything getting slated is likely to be gone for DA3 while anything getting a lot of love can expect to be back and then some.
Putting it like that it's common sense, meh I know what i mean.
Maybe a better comparison would be DAO type scores. However, not all of those scores are good, actually. I do not consider 87% from a gaming publication a good score.
But I don't care about scores. What some reviewers find important I may not, and vice versa. I'm far more interested in what the reviews actually say, and what they are basing their scores on. Someone who likes hack and slash combat may rate the game higher than someone who does not (just an example). I need to know how important they find character intereaction and how THAT is. That's far more important, to me, than, hey, this magazine gave it 90%.
