Whenever i try to check in my script my toolset will crash, check in on the item module worked fine. I tried compiling the script that didnt work either. Im using Steam would that affect anything?

Im just trying to add a longbow to my game.

Im running Vista if thats any difference either.

Someguy was having the same problem here also it seems.

I am new to this so I cannot help you my self but I suggest you cut and paste your script here so those who know the scripting language can take look. I am guessing here but it could be your script as an error that the toolkit cannot handle and that is the reason for the crash.

Not all debug systems in programs catch these errors and when they do not, crashes can and do occur.

I am sure somebody around here will be able to spot an error in your script if one exists and if you post it.

I dont think its a script error, i was following the tutorial from http://social.biowar.../5339/blog/576/ and just copy and pasted the script.

thanks anyway.

Check your nonunicode language in your langauge control panels. I had the same problem - it was because my language was set to Japanese for non-unicode rather than English (United States).

You might want to familiarize yourself with the wiki. The problem you mention is listed here:

Ah that's the problem, i have mine set to Chinese. Strange how that effects the toolset, i had the same problem with street fighter 4 crashing due to non-unicode progs set to chinese.

thanks very much!

Mine still crashes no matter what I change it to. I've tried USA and UK. This only happens with UTP files, strangely enough. I can edit others.
