I am unable to save/load a current game using either F5/F9 or ESC Menu Save or Load. In the ESC Menu both the save and load button have a gray background as if the feature has not been enabled. Does anyone have any ideas or know how to enable the save feature. I am not having any other issues with the game, although each time I go to play I have to start a new game.

This annoyed me, too, but I can see why they did it.
The first time I played the demo I was 90 minutes in when I had to go, and I didn't know how far from the end I was.
