Why is there a different game being played on the Dragon Age 2 webcast page? Darkspore, to be precise? :/

Because it links to the EA Livechat, which is the DAII one.

I liked the Q&A session, but I'm a little annoyed that my question didn't get answered, so I may as well as you guys: Will companions have proper conversations like Origins or will they just say a line when you click on them like Awakening?

The mage hats still looked a bit off, but they look much better than in DA:O. (imo)

Also - yay, Blood Dragon armour is back ^^

I can answer that ... they are fully grown characters with a lot of dialogue ... you would know if you played through the Demo ...and your companions have houses or lairs (or what not) around Kirkwall ..where you can visit them and talk to them ... so no one liner ME2 Zaeed or Awakening Characters ..thank god.

Basically it was a "BUY ME" session. That's why they changed it in the last second to be a Facebook only chat. Total fraud as a Q&A chat.

Ha, indeed. I interpreted the change to Facebook as a way to force players without fake Facebook accounts to post real invitations to their friends. Very EA-like marketing.

Saibh wrote...

There were thousands of people watching.

The great majority of them don't know the things we know. We have developers here all the time answering our questions. The chats are for people who don't frequent these boards.

Noting, of course, that very few people who do not access these boards or other sources (Wikia, gfaqs, danexus, etc) would have any idea that the Q&A session ever occurred.

Still no great hair styles or things
worth feeling like they improved at all.... I'll have fun playing it
even if it looks dated and still lacks decent hair options or abilities
to customize it.

More importantly, they still haven't given us word on the toolset patch so we can add our own.

Ok, Bioware, I finally gave in to it... you won. You are now officially Champions of Kirkwall!

I just made a minimum information facebook account using a mail adress that I'll solely use
for that purpose and without entering anything but the needed information fields.

Seems nowadays not having facebook is like not having telephone a few decades ago.

At least in the future; I won't feel left out of community stuff and I'll be able to play DA:Legends
(which was a temptation from the very beginning).

Call me weak, but yes, I now officially do facebook. But I won't go all social with it...

They advertise it on the EA site, on the main DAII page, and on their Facebook.

Because the average person regularly views EA's website at all, view the DA2 site repeatedly and never comes to the forums, and follows DA2 on Facebook and notices neither the forum nor any other resource which reposted the news?

I didn't choose it because I hate you.

But to answer your question, it will be more like Origins. :)

It isn't the Dragon Age webcast page. It's just the EA webcast in general. It was playing before the live demo as well. It's a prerecorded thing that they play in between live stuff.

Uh, yes. Thousands of people visit the EA site. Thousands of people interested in DAII, but not interested in these forums visit the main page, as well as Facebook. It's ludicrous that you'd think otherwise.

Actually, we switched to the Fb chat because we had around 4700 people on the chat asking questions. Too many were being asked and we couldn't pick them out. The Facebook chat was calmer.

Or, if you prefer, it was a huge conspiracy.

I missed the stream, but I have one question for the devs, if you would please:

Would you consider patching in the ability to set in the tactics menu an option like "When HP < 10%, then Use: Health Potion"?

There isn't one in the final build, and I find that's a bit of an oversight and can add too much micromanaging to go on each character, especially when DA:O you were able to do this.

 That was calm? Lordy. Well, at least there wasn't a lot of "WHERE IS MORRIGAN CAN I HAVE MORRIGAN  GOD BABY" spam.
