Like many of the people on these forums, I have the Signature edition on Pre-order. With this I am getting a large amount of DLC.
Launch day will probably hit the servers hard as I and a lot of purchasers get the DLC on launch day. Since a lot of the DLC is or will be in a finished state before launch day, perhaps you should allow us to download the DLC as it becomes available. It seems like a win/win, we have all our DLC as soon as possible and Bioware has a smaller peak load on their servers.
Any chance this will be available?

I never had an issue with downloading from EA on launch day, I don't see servers crashing going to be an issue on launch.
Very unlikely they didn't do it for Mass Effect series, DAO, Dead Space 2, Spore.

I agree with the server lag but I can't complain since I usually just set up the downloads and then go listen to music or find something else to do for an hour.
Once I have ownership of the game playing it immediately isn't a big concern.

eh, EA is a HUGE company so their servers are pretty reliable. plus they have probably anticipated this and spent resources on this issue.

i prefer the ME2 method really, having a stand alone exe to install > downloading packages in game
granted I guess the dragon age wiki will update with links to said packages post launch but that usually takes time
