I've been watching videos of Hawke with it, and I think that he looks better with it.

I thought it was Nutella?
Delicious... and yet, I still wouldn't want it on my face.

I agree...that would NOT look good on that face...it looks as if you CAN'T have the blood smear(nutella) on custom Hawke...so, there is that saving grace to it.

I like it, but I don't think it works if it's always there. If it were on your face at the beginning but once you get to Kirkwall or wherever you go after the intro, it'd be washed off.
I am undecided at the moment on whether or not I will keep it.

I'd always assumed that was a birthmark, not blood.

Um....no. It's a blood. Haven't you seen the Destiny trailer?

I'll probably have it on some character.
And people, why does it have to be the same blood smear. Maybe he just collects bottles of his enemies blood and reapplies it often. Like hair dye. But on his face.

Do we know if it will only appear on the default Hawke face? Or can we choose it as a tattoo option in CC when we make our personal Hawke.

As you can't have it on custom characters, I won't have it.

They Blood Smear face and Regular face are both default faces. I think you can change though if you have the mirror of transformation.

Well you saw they Destiny trailer. It's like a battle thing I guess.
This is pretty much it. It's warpaint. Tell me you wouldn't crap your pants if you saw someone running at you with a giant sword and blood smeared all over their face. I probably would. It's the equivalent to the Picts using blue woad to paint their faces. They mixed water, blue woad plant dye, and ashes and painted it on their face and it would last for days or weeks at a time. It meant they would sooner die than fail, that there was no turning back. I'm guessing Hawke smearing blood on this face is something akin to that.
Except, this isn't warpaint. It's not blood smeared all over Hawke's face. It's not blue woad, and it doesn't last for days or weeks.
It is a single smear of blood on Hawke's nose. That's all it is. And it lasts for 10 years. It's either always there, or never there. There is no toggle, There is no smearing it on just before battle. It's there during battle, it's there when you finish battle, it's there when you haggle with merchants, it's there during love scenes, it's there in your house when your crafting something or talking to MamaHawke.
It's there. And it's freaking stupid.

The Blood Smear is why I almost didn't buy DA:O even though I like Bioware RPGs. I am really glad there is an option to turn it off.
