I like the blood smear. It says Hey look at me, I been in combat and I can kick your ass while I was playing the demo and selecting on the "good intentions" choice when it popped up. I didn't like his look, I know we can't custom char it but it lacked the detail that is him

What if the blood smear is only available when Varric starts exaggerating? I mean, if I was creating a legend for someone, having a blood smear on someone would be BAMF. But on a regular fellow, which is really what Hawke is, I don't think they'd leave it on.

However, my reasoning behind this is that both Bethany and Hawke have features when Varric first starts the story and he admits he's doing the exaggerated legend. Bethany has even bigger breasts, and Hawke has the blood smear. This may show a difference, during the gameplay, of when Varric is bull****ting the Seeker or not.

Except, if you use the default Hawke, you can choose to actually have that blood smear be a feature on your character.  Which would mean Varric is not exargerating that part - you really WOULD have had an idiotic smear of blood on your face for 10 whole years.

For those of you who have the CC unlock mod the first default preset is default Hawke withOUT the smear, but the second default preset is default Hawke WITH the smear. I don't know if it'll be like that in the game, but it's like that in the demo.

Actually the truth is poor Hawke suffers with terrible nose bleeds and asthma. His mum usually rubs him down with a bit of liniment but alas no longer. He also has a bladder problem but we won't go into that here.

It'd look a bit silly on a mage so I'll be keeping it off on my mage playthrough. The physical damage dealer playthroughs (warriors & rogue). I still don't know what my first playthrough will be..

What's with all the people talking about him not washing his face? It's not random blood he never washes off. If you watch the destiny trailer he intentionally puts it on there.
