Okay towards the end of a demo Hayder mentions that the slaves where worth "100 sovereigns a head" now maybe I am a bad judge of the Tevinter slave markets but that strikes me as a of a lot of money considering that in origins the most powerful and expensive Mage staff was about 125 sovereigns. So Why are slaves about as expensive than ancient powerful weapons of doom?

I'm not upset or offended. It's just IMO an incredibly weird thing to want to discuss about a video game. I'm genuinely confused if this is actually a topic that wants to be taken seriously or if its tounge in cheek.

Maybe these were particularly high quality, or something?

It could also just be that the slave trade happens to be stronger in places like Kirkwall than in the brief look we saw in Ferelden.

It was a random curiosity I had, I was just playing origins and I was remebering the Demo and I just thought "hey, this thousand year old axe use by the first grey warden is about the same price as a slave, that's odd"The RustMonster wrote...

It is a valid topic. I was thinking about it as well. When you take into consideration that Zevran says that he was bought as a child on the slave market for 3 sovereigns it gets even more confusing.
I was actually wondering about this too. Wonder if there is a lore reason for this or if it was just a writer mistake.

Real reason for the discrepancy: Story and gameplay segregation.
