PLS Bioware, i need an answere from you.
i have now finished the game twice and have the platinum.
now i'd like to know what game save will be imported in ME3.
in my last gametrough i have not done all side quests, and not done some dlc's quest, and not yet the new DLC that will come out.
If i continue from the last mission, and do now all what i have missed, (and do the new dlc when it will be out...) will i be able to import in ME3 my LAST save, or will i be able to import only my save after the final mission?
(i assume that the new dlc will be important for the ME3 story).
Thanks

@maneorix
this i know, but there was only 1 dlc in ME 1 and without interest for ME2, so, it's not comparable with ME2->ME3.
it is not possible to know now if all dlc's or side quest done after the final battle in ME2 will count for ME3 (as nobody imports saves... but only profiles).
Exatly this i'd like to know... does the profile in ME2 updates all what will be done after the final battle or not.
I am sure, that some N7 side quest will have some impact in ME3 (like Conrad from ME1 did in ME2 also if it was a simple side quest in ME1, in ME2 there was a quest to have discounts on shops... non on PS3 version).
For example there is a N7 side quest where you have to decide what part of a city you have to save.... i don't want to spoiler more... but i am sure that this should.. or better, this mission decision MUST have some impact on ME3.
If i do this missions after final battle, will it be considered when i import my profile in ME3?
be or not to be,.... seams to be the same hard question

On the Xbox 360 when you imported a character from ME1 you could choose from any of your characters (profiles). So if you have a perfect save - your first one - you can just pick that and import it. I fully expect ME3 to function in the same way.
the problem is that my first save is not perfect as i did all the quests and side quests, but arrived only at lv 29.

so when u say its the profile data that gets imported into ME3, it's the data in the ps3 that cant be copied or backed up right?

There is a slight difference between ME1 and ME2. In ME1 the game ends after the final battle, and you can't explore side-quests. In ME2 you have the ability to continue after the final battle - provided your Shep survives - and any progress you make after that battle is saved to your profile. So by my logic importing an ME2 profile into ME3 will provide the newest data, that would include any DLC/side-quest finished after the final battle. Anything else would make no sense.

oh! follow-up question re: NG+ : does NG+ provide new a new profile data as well? (from your old profile data from the first playthrough)

The ME2 to ME3 import won't necessarily work just like the import to ME2 from ME1. After defeating Saren in ME1 the game creates a single save file that is only used for exporting to ME2, not for loading and playing within ME1. ME2 makes no such save, as it allows you to continue doing side missions and DLC even after the final mission is completed. Any save made after finishing the final mission should be exportable to ME3.
