Zevran is dead and alistair was executed so he could never threaten anora and my cousland for the throne, so i won't be seeing them thankfully.

Allistar is sent to execution but never actually killed.
Could still be alive and well after Awakenings perhaps leading a revolution against Anora. Or possibly escaped being a grey warden and all.

To the people who are surprised at Leliana being a Seeker...her unique, character-specific item in DA:O was an amulet called "Seeker's Circle". Or was it circlet? Circumference? Circumcision? Who cares, it's obviously related. Isn't it?

(Sorry for the double post, but something occurred to me about the ending of the game and I'm just guessing) I hope it's kinda like the ending to Splinter Cell Conviction where Sam comes to save the day. I'd kinda like that to happen at the end of DA2 where at the end of the game it cuts to a scene of Varric and the Seeker and you hear a fight in the background and Varric sits back and smiles and says something like, 'Looks like your search is over.' And then it goes black and that's the game.

Hard to say without playing it, but I think that would be an awesome ending and lead-in to the next game.

I would imagine they would stay dead. Characters stay dead in Mass Effect 2 if they died in Mass Effect 1, so I would think this would be the same.

Leliana went traveling with the warden except when she had to attend some big chantry meeting

Nathaniel does mention he was in Kirkwall during the Blight so that pretty much confirmed it for me right there that he would be in DAII at some point
