Yes you have Cullen who was less then good, but Gregoire was very level headed.

But I like the topic! It shows I need to do a couple more playthroughs with different backgrounds, that is, depending on the turnout.

My warden didn't, I don't see why my hawke should. Also if you think about Hawkes back story, particularly as a mage, I doubt she'd be a devoted servant to the maker when the chantry made it impossible for her father and sister to have normal lives.
That kind of annoyed me in DA:O. I could never say that my warden didn't believe in the maker without being called evil. I remember one of my Human nobles said it to the priestess in castle cousland, she got all snippy and basically told me to gtfo. I mean I understand that it's the medieval setting and people were a lot more religious then, but as we see with Morrigan, not everyone is a blind servant to the Chantry.
Makes me kind of happy to know that the chantry is falling apart in DA2
Yeah, The Chantry is very much similar to a certain real life religion and it's practices in medevial times (though, the real life religion didnt' lock the "magic users" up in a tower, they burned them at the stake, "malificar" or not). So, I kinda see the Chantry the same way... The Andrastian Faith is all good, but it's the actions of it's followers that bring question to the faith.
So, that said, I"ll either have my first Hawke (female mage) beleive kinda as I do in that real life religion, that The Maker is real, but the actions of the Chantry were not necessarily all by The Maker's direct orders. I mean, from what we know, The Chant says "Magic was made to serve man, never to rule over him." Where does it say "Lock them all up in a Tower at birth and have Templars keep them in line, for they are all evil in training!"
Or, I might have her actually follow the Old Gods, and then when/if she finds out about the OGB she'll be like "Great idea!"

You guys are missing out on -so- much content.
(obviously not aimed at those who've talked about mutliple Hawkes, but there's a massive majority of "yes, I only have one character and this is what he/she will believe" in this thread.)

Yeah the OXM review hinted at alot of replay value based on your class and gender.Raphael diSanto wrote...

What is your intent in this post? Are you being sarcastic, or serious?
Even if the replay value is the same as DA:O, it will still be fun. I mean, overall in DA:O your gender/race had a LITTLE to do with the overall story, it was mostly just in dialogue in how people talked to you. Easier to get ino Dalish camp if you are Dalish, your sister Rica wanting you to support Bhelen if you are dwarf commoner... etc.

I did a playthrough of all the origin stories, but I liked Elves the best because of their downtrodden nature in the game. But seeing everyone else's origins and personal canon characters, I will need to do a couple more characters with different backgrounds I think.

Not that much content. Bioware games aren't known for multiple paths. The most you're missing out on is maybe a secret companion (Loghain in DAO) or some epilogue slides. Or Slim Cauldry's quests. Big loss.Raphael diSanto wrote...

Of course I'll play after my first go!

If you mean me I was being serrious acording to OXM based on class or sex you'll see various NPCS and get quests you would not as another class/sex. Hence more reply value, in DA:O wasn't such short of a couple of quests.AbsolutGrndZer0 wrote...
