(obviously not aimed at those who've talked about mutliple Hawkes, but there's a massive majority of "yes, I only have one character and this is what he/she will believe" in this thread.)
People tend to reference their "canon" Hawke in the same way they refer to their "canon" Warden. Also, DA:O didn't really open too many new possibilities unless you returned home. This is clear when the Dalish Warden doesn't even know who Shartan is when she's speaking to the Chantry sisters in Denerim, despite that it's not canical for her to be ignorant of who Shartan is. I also don't see the Dalish Warden or the Dwarven Wardens as individuals who would believe in the Maker when they follow other religions (the Creators and the Ancestors, respectively).

Everyone has demons in them, even Loghain had them and he was no mage.

I only have 4 Wardens, because Dragon Age didn't grab me nearly as much as Mass Effect - but I needed my 4 wardens to see everything I wanted to see, to write the stories I wanted to write. Just taking the Landsmeet as an example -
My first Warden killed Loghain and put Anora on the throne, later sending Alistair off to sacrifice himself.. My second warden killed Loghain and put Alistair on the throne, sacrificing himself. My third Warden kept Loghain alive and made him sacrifice himself.. etc etc.
There's other choices, all the way through the game, like .. What do I do about Connor? Do I side with the mages or the templars through the mage tower sequence?
All of these choices go into making up a completely unique and different story than choosing other choices, and I play through the game as many times as I need to, to build the specific stories and events that my Wardens require.
I have six Shepards, each of which I have played through ME1 and ME2, including all side missions and all DLC. I have a spreadsheet that keeps track of the decisions made by each shepard at each point in the game, to make sure that I see and experience all of the content that BioWare has to offer, to make sure that I see every cut scene, hear every line of dialogue, and see the outcome of every choice.
I'm a completionist. It's what we do.
In terms of Hawke and the Maker? My answer will be .. Some will, some won't. My creativity won't allow me to play a single Hawke.

If you mean me I was being serrious acording to OXM based on class or sex you'll see various NPCS and get quests you would not as another class/sex. Hence more reply value, in DA:O wasn't such short of a couple of quests.AbsolutGrndZer0 wrote...

Yeah the OXM review hinted at alot of replay value based on your class and gender.Raphael diSanto wrote...

What is your intent in this post? Are you being sarcastic, or serious?
Even if the replay value is the same as DA:O, it will still be fun. I mean, overall in DA:O your gender/race had a LITTLE to do with the overall story, it was mostly just in dialogue in how people talked to you. Easier to get ino Dalish camp if you are Dalish, your sister Rica wanting you to support Bhelen if you are dwarf commoner... etc.
Yeah I meant you. Thanks for the clarification, I haven't read the OXM review, so I wasn't sure what they said, but that's cool that thereis lots of quests like that in DA2.

She wouldn't true, and she probably sit and wait until they order her to do something, and yet it seems all the hawks can make their own mind. And even if she was mind controlled she would back down and will NOT lead, she has no willpower/control, she has to be told what to do.<_<

In truth when I look at the chantry and what it does, I feel it is actually the game developers taking a veiled stab at Religion, and how it is manipulated to control people.
Not sure that it's veiled per se, I mean lots of medieval fantasy stories have an oppressive religion, just like the real medeival times did. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion, as they still leave room for you and your character to see the good in the religion, but the bad that people do "in the name of" that religion, just like in real life.

Well, its not just that. Its also the conversation options the game gave you... so often there were cleverly worded jibes at the chantry avaliable. Which was impressive.

What? Gaider will always defend the Chantry and try to explain why it is necessary. If anything, they support it fanatically.Carlthestrange wrote...

Aaah, it's all about the stories, my friend. Which story am I telling today? (within the limitations imposed by BioWare, of course).. That what drives me.
That, and I paid my money for this damn content, I should see it!

I wouldn't necessarily say SHE didn't know who Shartan was.. I mean that wasn't the only question you could ask... However, I think Bioware felt they should leave the question there because despite playing a Dalish that MIGHT know, you as a player would not if it was your first playthrough, so the question needs to be there for YOU, not necessarily for the dalish elf.
