I'm not sure what that is, perhaps you can elaborate? I've seen the word occlusion in a few spots in the level editor but I don't know what it refers to.

Doesn't that mean just terrain editing? Or the walkable / unwalkable thing they had in NWN 2?

If so, yes to the first and not sure to the second.

*Edit* Found this:

Occlusion Grid. This toggle shows the border area marked in red. Good for seeing where the border

area starts without the grid visible. Remember characters can not enter the border area so this will help

indicate the end of the walkable area.

So... I don't know, but probably something like it?

thank you for replies.

the occlusion grid in nwn2 was the white grid surrounding your area that was walkable and outside of that 'grid' was unwalkable area; where you could make mountainous terrain and such.

There are three zones in outdoor terrains. The center area is the playable area, where the pathing grid (similar to the old walk meshes) are generated. Outside of that is a non-walkable area where you can place models to make it look like things go further. I believe this is always 1 chunk wide, but I'm not positive. Beyond that is a vista area, where you can put additional models that will always be at a low level of detail. Most of the vista models are huge, several times bigger then the level itself (the little green squares in the pictures are the actual levels). By default, vista areas are 1 chunk wide, but can be expanded.

The width of both the Border and Vista Border can be set in module properties.

Ooooo awesome screenshots of the vistas.  I wonder who did those?  :P
