Is it a good idea take a second henchman?

Without giving spoilers, what level can I reach playing with 1 henchman, and what level can I reach if I play with 2? Assuming I do all the quests but don't resort to any cheesy infinite respawn tricks. Oh, and I don't have a familiar/animal companion, and don't usually use summons.
Thanks,

*** Life is only a short for Dilemmas ***
Now, back off-topics:
I wouldn't see it that way, but the funny one. Do whatever pleases you. The diference is gonna be very tiny, one or two levels in the end, but the power the same.
I love henchies, personally.
Strength could also come from a group of individuals, instead of only one of them.
Even if this one is you.
Your total power will be maybe greater even. With a couple of laughs on top of it, instead of being a depressive lonely hero.
Just my two cents, which I'm going to keep actually, for that 2nd wife project you made me think about.

I like the idea of having a second wife too, but mine believes we couldn't afford it.

Im only going to add that the most troubled time for my male human paladin/cot during the Hordes of the Underdark was the moment when he made the mistake of traveling with both Nathyrra and Airbeth at the same time. The poor guy almost went mad after being caught in the middle of some disputes time after time. Anyways, I like how the henchman make conversations between them, it's intresting what they say each other, so for me the more the better.

I havent testested the difference between 1 and 2 henchmen, but I noticed the difference between 2 and 3 is about 11%.
One thing I don't like is when they actually start trying to kill each other and ignore the big bad beasties,

I prefer having 2 henchmen though, I just love the dialogue deekin and valen have. Deekin is such a funny little fella to have and asks your other henchman some stupid yet funny questions.
But when it comes to battle, it seems too easy when you have 2 henchmen active. I've noticed it with my 11 Wiz/ 1Rngr / 15 Assa. I don't know about your experience with it but for me enemies goes down like a breeze with 2 henchmen. But then again, I dual wield 2 acid kukri and beef them up with Flame Weapon, Keen and Greater Magic Weapon. Well, maybe it's just because my gameplay is cheeze. xD
