No it just means downloading. You will be able to install on release.

Apparently, D2D doesn't comprehend that the game itself is locked by the DRM servers. 

They probably think they have to hold on to the serial keys to prevent you from playing the game early. 

But, yes. Pretty much everyone else is able to install and are just waiting for the midnight unlock!

I almost wish I HADN'T received the download link yet, the idea of having it right there, and not being able to play it....it hurts. Why do they hurtses us precious? Nasty evil little hobbitses, showing us the precious but denying us... * rambles off into incoherent mumbles*

...it would help, of course, if the downloader worked. "Error: We are facing technical difficulty in downloading the game. Please contact our customer support for assistance."

Not that I'm ungrateful, I still have 4 days to figure out the problem and download, right? :happy:

No idea .  Have you contacted EA support on this?  Another option is to confirm you have the latest version of EADM.  

Assuming you just skimmed what i typed, and I wouldn't blame you, I eventually just stopped trying and checked back an hour ago, and it worked fine, I guess there was some sort of technical issue on EA's side.

Its just like the Collectors edition of DAO and ME2 its through the serial number of your game.

Depends on the retailer, I know D2D give them to you directly, same with Steam and EAstore its there if you click info on  DA2 but there is no way to register your game so have to wait til release.

I get the impression not everyone will get a midnight release actually, although Im uncertain, D2D will definitely allow anyone to PLAY right after midnight.

DA2 signature edition just started pre loading on steam for me.. yes! Ugh now I can't wait till the 8th to play hehehh. 1h27m till I get all 5.23GB... but I suppose the time doesn't matter as I can't play it till the 8th.. but still.. i'd rather get it ASAP before the steam servers get bogged down

The unlock date for India is on the list for Mar 8 (midnight local time / start of day 8th).  Its possible that there is not a dedicated EA store for India so you may be hitting a european store which is showing the 11th.

Not completely - there is a separate code for the bonus items and DLC (in case of Signature Ed.).  This should be coming in a follow up email (likely launch day).

That's what is on the list currently - i've asked to confirm this.  When is the normal retail street date there, is it fridays or saturdays?

I think it's around 7Gb.. perhaps other than encypting, they also have compression or something. FYI, I use EADM. At first, it shown 7Gb, but when downloading it shows 6.6Gb.

Btw, for anyone who have problems with EADM though. Everytime after "Preparing to download" nothing is downloading and it changed back to "Ready to Download". Turns out EADM doesn't compatible with Windows XP64. So for XP64, set the EADM.exe to "Compatible with Windows XP". (or maybe also "run as" admin)

5.23GB (from steam). I do know know how much actual space it will take up. I'm not sure if the game plays compressed or if steam will uncompress some of the DLed data

LOL whoops. I should give more details.. I was just so excited it was DLing I didn't think to explain.

my partner bought the pre order for DA2 at game stop in Jan cuz he knows I LOVE the game not knowing I already bought it on steam. So I am going to take the sig ed code from game stop and turn my steam DL into the sig edition. So Im paying "double" for the game.

Or I could always just install the GS version and give my steam log in to one of my friends and let them DL and play it. Seems a waste of $$ and codes otherwise.

I'm just guessing any DLC that was promised will be available after you install/unlock and enter the codes.. at least they were with DAO. Most people will get all their codes on MArch 7th in the US (who digitally pre ordered), or at midnight if u go get it at gamestop... I'm not sure when EA will begin to ACCEPT the codes though.. it will SUCK if people unlock at 12M and EA won't let you enter your codes

IF you missed the Jan 11th deadline and WANT the coll/sig edition. there are PLENTY of sites selling those codes for very reasonable prices ($50).. but. you would be paying double for the game if you already bought it... and I THINK I read someplace that all.. or most of the sig edition stuff can be purchased with EA pts.

You know what they say about paying it forward.  You can give away the steam version and have your friend pay it forward.

The official website for DA2 shows the system requirements listing 7 GB of memory space required for DA2. It's not uncommon for people to round off to the nearest GB, and I imagine they usually allow for a little bit of leeway in memory space.

This struck me as odd as well, seeing as Origins was 20 GB and Awakening was 4 GB. But it seems to be that the download has everything if the official website is correct (or at least the majority of it).

I'm in the U.S. I exited and relaunched EADM and it had an update which mentioned fixing problems with upcoming release downloads, but I still can't download the game.
