Pre-loading happens with digital versions of DA2 and is installing the game so it is ready to play once the unlock time arrives. Pre-loading is not available from all retailers. The unlock date for India is on the list for Mar 8 (midnight local time / start of day 8th).  Its possible that there is not a dedicated EA store for India so you may be hitting a european store which is showing the 11th.

Just chill there is plenty of time for the DRM to be fixed to the launch time.  THe point of the release control is to stop people from playing it and its doing its job.

Uh no you paid for a physical copy and thats what you will get. Have to wait for it to be delivered.

I have pre-order DA2 at 05.11.2010. My last five numbers of my Order number is ......59324
Time now is early morning of 5th March.
But I still have no pre-loading anywhere.
In EADM empty. My e-mail is empty.
Order Details in EA Store hasn't security code and any information about pre-loading.

What does it mean?

A little annoyed D2D is not handing out the activation codes until the 8th. Oh well. I very much doubt I'll be playing my first three characters at midnight, anyhow.

My DA:2 tells me:

Your release date will be: Tuesday, March 08, 2011, 03:00

I live in the midwest (USA) in CST. That's certainly not 00:00 as Chris says in his post. That doesn't even correspond to 00:00 in any relevant time zone in America.

Just wondering what's up.

Uh no you paid for a physical copy and thats what you will get. Have to wait for it to be delivered. 

It was rhetorical (more or less). Some companies will allow download even though you buy the boxed copy.

Once the game is installed, click Play. It starts the Release Date Checker, which queries the DRM server as to whether or not you can play. Obviously you can't, but it will then tell you WHEN you can play.

My D2D preload is just under 6.5GB.  Seems reasonable to me.

In the past D2D has changed that at the last minute.  So I'm hoping that around midnight they will release the activation serial numbers.

 This is all well and good but how are we to know if any of the in game items that have been unlocked through the demo ect are actually included with our pre-orders ect?  I see no way of adding dragon age II to my games nor do i see a way through direct2drive.com to see if any of the unlockables have been included with my pre-order purchase of the digital download of the da2 signature edition.  and since i can't actually get my key from direct2drive till the 8th what kind of guarantee do i have that bioware and eagames aren't gonna screw me over on the unlockables from the demo?

The item from the demo is on the registered promotions. As for the other things you have no gaurantee nor will you get one until release.

I bought it on Steam and was able to pre-load it today and I live in europe so I am guessing i'll get to play it the 8th.
Thank the lord for steam being kinda universal
