I downloaded from Amazon yesterday for 20% savings. I'm installed and ready to go. I live in MST, so it would be nice to know when I can start the game. I'm assuming 00:00 is PST?

My Steam does not have the countdown timer though I have pre-loaded it. Since I am WA based it seems I will get it at 10pm or if is based on EST then I could get it at 4pm (which has happened before).

Sometimes timezones are very confusing.

I assume you are right about that, 00:00 PST... as for me perhaps 9 houers earlier... or at the same time.

Edit: A correction... on my 10. March... sorry, a bit uncorrect there.

At the moment, the DRM server is set to 0000 Alaska Standard Time. Fernando has said it's supposed to be 0000 PST though. So, we'll see.

LoL. Just checked too. You're right. Now it's 0002 Alaska Standard Time when adjusted for your time zone. This is hilarious. I can't even fathom how two minutes were added.

This is interesting. Edmonton in Alberta Canada is same time zone as MST. I'm not sure what that means, but perhaps if they are starting at 00:00, I can too.

Still no pre-load at gamersgate for me and I live in western europe (Sweden)... I wonder when I will be able to pre-load the game and more importently, when do I get to play??!! Could be on the 10th which is the releaseday here or if Gamersgate does'nt get that, the 11th. THEN I will be a saaad panda!

About the DRM check.

Do we have a clear answer on the question if it's dependent on WHERE you bought the game or is it where I'm actually stationed at....

Lets say I buy the game in a country where it's on sale BUT it's official releasedate has yet to come and I go home to my country where the game just been released. Can I then play the game?

Hope you see where Im going with this haha

The Australian Unlocking time seems mighty close to the pre-loading time.
Sydney is GMT +11 atm.
If I am reading the above time tables correctly, that means that we here down under can only start downloading the game at 20.00 on the 8th of march. Since we can start playing at midnight btw the 8th and the 9th, this means we only have a 4 hour window to download before the game unlocks. Compared to for example the rest of Asia/ pacific & US, which has more like 3-4 days. Does this make sense to anyone else?

Is there some strange Aussie rule that I dont know about, or is this decided through EA? This is my first time pre-ordering, and I'm confused. Ive read almost all the posts here and no one else seems to have picked up on it.

Maybe 4 hours are more then enough, but I can just see myself sitting here 5 in the morning with the dowloading still going on.

Anyone have an explanation?

I'm so glad that I was able to preload it in the UK yesterday. I only have 15gb bandwidth a month at university or else I get horrendous fees for going over :/ But being back home this weekend for my birthday, I was able to avoid being forced to buy a horrible disc-based copy later this week. Well done whatever cosmic force enabled me to download it this early.

So far, I have seen at least 3 different unlock dates.
In the mail I received from EA saying pre-load is ready, it said the release date is 7th of March. 7th!
Then on this site it's 8th of March 00:00h, and finally the securROM release date check say it's 8th of March 17:02. This is so confusing... guess I will just assume it's tomorrow 17:02 and hope for the best :/

Hmm. My preload was available today in Switzerland as stated by Chris but the confirmation email says the game will be unlocked on March 9 - not 10 as the rest of Western Europe. Did anyone else in Western Europe also get March 9 as unlock date or should I just be really happy that Switzerland neutrally falls between the US and Western Europe?

I guess this is what I get for not checking the forums:  I pre-ordered DAII almost 2-3 months ago when the release date wasn't something widely known (or at least I didn't really care at the time as it was too far away lol) and then GameStop sends me the link for download with the key....

So, I download the game, open it up and SecureROM says "I don't think so; not time yet"...  You know how incredibly disappointing that is?

Also, just a question, under what world does a company think its ok to give out their merchandise and then say "you can't use it until xxx date" even though they've already bought it?  If its not ready for production then don't send it out -- simply sending it out like that then saying "HA HA YOU CAN'T USE IT YET!" is complete bs and asking for someone to have a sour taste in their mouths before even playing the game.  Preloading?  No, I think this is just some gimmick to get people to come to the website here and start buying up all the micro-transaction merchandise.
