I just want to confirm that if you buy and pre-load off Direct 2 Drive, that you won't be able to play until midnight PST? So I'll have to wait until 1am Mountain?

I'm a bit befuddled here.
The game unlocks for the U.S at 00:00 (midnight), but since I live in Puerto Rico I have to wait until 14:00 (2 P.M) to play it? This is just disheartening, really.

Yea, I still don't even see a countdown for steam yet. Which is annoying, because when you check the other coming soon games, like Crysis 2 for example, it tells you when it's going to unlock.

I'm on the east coast and I read 03:00. Also, it's been confirmed on this thread by Bioware that the USA unlock time will be Tuesday the 8th PST.Tielis wrote...

The store page doesn't even list the release date, and the preload and demo unlocks were hours delayed. I get the impression Steam doesn't care much about this title.

Wont work.. STeam issnt unlocking it in any region so far. Im under Asia and its already 5 AM local time here. Ive waited 5 goddamn hours for steam to unlock but still no so farGvazElite wrote...

I've just finished the pre-load via EADM. Strangely, the preload stopped at ~ 80% (5,18 Gb) and EADM states the game is ready for playing (well, except for the release date...). I am confused a little about the size of downloaded fles, is 5,18 Gb normal?

That's a normal size. It's smaller because of better compression and them leaving out full voice support for several languages. There's also a 1.1 GB optional high-res texture download that they left out.

I generally like Steam, it's just that I'd like it more if it were better.

Some of us are using VPN's, it doesn't press steams metaphorical release button however.

I pre-loaded mine off of Steam but every time I try to open the config menu, or launcher or anything, it says something along the lines of: " This program is not compatible with your version of windows". Also, when I tried installing the High res texture pack it wouldn't install and said that I didn't have DA2 installed, but I did. I've reinstalled it once and am trying again, what should I do.
