There was somewhat of a discrepancy with pre-orders from D2D. Until today their policy was that you would get your key at 10am PST, March 8th, which was (too) late.

After some bickering back and forth with support, it now turns out they're giving out the keys today, as well as the keys for DLC; so thank you to all others who complained with D2D as well! It may just have helped

Check your download page for the relevant keys.

The times mentioned in the first post are 'local' times, but there is typically only 1 unlock time per region.  For regions with multiple time zones (e.g. US/Canada), this means depending on where you are, you may end up ahead/behind the time posted.  Using the US as an example - the unlock time posted is based on PST.  

Also, when it says 0000h of whatever day, that means the start of that day (think midnight +1second).

Still not sure whether the unlock time in the OP is GMT, EST, or PST for the Steam unlock. I'm assuming it's PST, but official clarification would be great. I'd love it if it were GMT (26 mins =P).

What is confusing me is that it states on the first post that the pre load for it for the uk is supposed to be:
Great Britain & Ireland – 10:00 GMT on March 8th

Yet I have had it pre loaded since March the 4th, which is supposed to have been the American time for pre load.

Which is why I question their time's. They seem a little off.

Pc and Steam time are set to uk too, so doesn't make much sense.

Because steam isn't automated.  Its one dude, living in a box down by the bay.  His only job is to press a button, but he tends to sleep through most of the unlock times.  Steam almost always unlocks around noon the day of release.

To be honest, they've shown little interest in DA2, promotion-wise or otherwise. And I don't blame them. After all, EA basically treated their customers like second-class citizens with DA2.

As usual the americans get it first hand and acouple of day's even before the europeans, honestly i dont know why since europe,  or central europe is test base for every bit of hardware or software there is to be found or currently being developed.
it just PO's me that i have to wait 2-3 days more for something i i have paid the same for as all other's, but just because i dont live in the states i have to wait an additional 3 days before i can play.

But besides the hard emotions i still look forward to the game ;-)

So why does it say "Canada & United States – 0000h on March 8th" and yet the release control says it isn't unlocking til 3:00 am. . . thats not cool. . .
