This does kinda void the entire point of a midnight release. Glad i went out in the snow for absolutely nothing. Not to mention wasted my time preordering at gamestop- for a DLC item that is Xbox and ps3 only. Good times.

I dont remember console only content???

I have to say Bio, I have loved your games for as far as I can remember. I have always held your company in high regards and I believed I would love you guys and your games till my dieing day comes. But this is the biggest **** up I have ever seen you guys do. It almost makes me ashamed to own so many of your games. You are really begining to look like all the other companies where you all once stood out. If this is what we as your paying customers can expect from now on please let us know so that at least i can look else where for other games. Should we expect this to occure with the new star wars mmo as well?

This is crazy - why did I wait half an hour at Gamestop just to be stonewalled by Sony's F***ing DRM software. I'm going to stop buying EA / Sony / Bioware games if they don't stop treating all their customers like potential and probable thieves. Too bad - I was really looking forward to this game and now I'm a bit sour on it.

I feel your frustration. But you know you are going to buy Bioware's next game or hell another game from EA. They house so many different studios you are bound to get something from them :)

1 hour 40 min to go. Hang tight!

Does anyone have any clue on how the DLC Will work if you preordered through EA? Like...are they e-mailing the codes for Sebastian and the the other thing at midnight, or will my game go "Oh, you used THAT code, okay, downloads await you." within the game? I figure I might as well ask because it's not like we're doing anything else at the moment.

You know, I am actually kind of glad that a 3-hour delay is the biggest ****-up Bioware has made... Not nearly as bad as BUYING A GAME AT MIDNIGHT AND NOT BEING ABLE TO PLAY IT!!!(Nevermind, turns out it is exactly as bad)

OK, someone explain this to me please...nicely...why is this limited to pc users? Although I roughly understand the concept of DRM, why doesn't it apply to console users as well? I'm penalised because I use a pc to play my games?

Also incredibly annoyed about having to wait 3 hours to play, when I could have just gone to bed and picked it up tomorrow, since I won't get to play it tonight.

@Pixie: The DLC item code can't be entered on the Gamestop Website for PC, but you can enter the code on this site's code page.

What time does the DLC become available? I'm gonna get my game in about 45 mins. I've already been and paid it off but the bastards won't give it to me till midnight, lol.

this thread is bloody hilarious. totally keeping me entertained while i wait the last 90 minutes.

You people seem totally convinced that EA/Steam, whoever, is doing this out of spite.

This all could have been avoided so easily. First, tell all the PC customers that this would happen. Second, allow PC users to buy the game a day early, since we can play it until 3am anyways what does it matter when we get it. Third, refer to the first step.

The post about the release times from the developers was obviously misleading. All they would have had to do is simply put the letters "PST" next to the release time and this would all have been a non-issue. Either someone majorly screwed up and should lose their job or Bioware/EA purposely scammed PC users as the time check does not apply to Xbox or PS3.

I dont remember console only content???

My Gamestop reciept  has a website- Says
"Thanks for Preordering Dragon age 2 for PC or Xb360 : Your registration code is : XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Please visit Gamestop.com/code for registration and ingame content."

Went to website. The pulldown menu for DA:II only as Xbox360 and Ps3. Was supposed to be all platforms. Don't really blame the local gamestop- i mean if they were told whatever- and dont really blame Bioware- but somethings amiss.  Honestly, it just adds to the disapointment.

Yeap your exactly right. But atleast in the end you will have a much better gaming experience. That is if you have the computer for it

If you have a DirectX 11 capable card, make sure you get the High-Res texture pack. Its an additional 1gb so might as well get started and download that now.

I'm slightly irked that they didn't specifically say 12 am PT, but the first question that came up in my mind when they said "midnight" without any specific time zone label was "midnight what time zone?" I was actually searching for it when I came upon this thread. Being in Mountain time, I'm just used to either unlabelled times being PT or ET, so I wasn't expecting it to be midnight my time. While, yes, it's good that everyone (well, everyone in North America, that is) gets to play at the same time, it would have been more logical to do it midnight ET, so that those on the east coast don't play the game with their foreheads on the keyboard. They should start selling it in stores at the time the game is officially launched (be in 10 pm or 1 am).

I had the same problem, but I just entered the code on the receipt using my Bioware Social Accout and it opened up the Sword and Board for me. You might have to try a couple times though, server was a bit twitchy.

Well, ****, thanks for that. I didn't know about this one. So that takes this game up to a whopping 7-8 g? Yeah, not even going there...

Thanks again for the info...
