Hello all, I went onto the EA online chat and they gave me a $15 coupon for the EA store because I was upset over the release. If you're willing to wait a half-hour for a chat rep, maybe you can do the same. Why not? You got the time to spend! Least I can do is share the info.

I feel your frustration. But you know you are going to buy Bioware's next game or hell another game from EA. They house so many different studios you are bound to get something from them :)

1 hour 40 min to go. Hang tight!

Yeah, you are right - there's just no way of avoiding Mass Effect 3.  But the little things are starting to add up and my interest in games is not as automatic as it used to be.  Just wish I had not consumed those two beers during the install thinking that I was just about to get to play.  Oh well, off to bed - will try again after work tomorrow.

< has lucked out with spring break coinciding with DA2. Granted, I'm pissed about this PST nonsense, but hey, I also have a 360 sig edition to kill time with.

I doubt I will remember any of this...well, until Mass Effect 3 comes out anyway.

Hi Dragon Age 2 PC gamers.

Many of you have been asking when you can pre-load Dragon Age 2 onto your machines. Pre-loading happens with digital versions of DA2 and is installing the game so it is ready to play once the unlock time arrives. Pre-loading is not available from all retailers. Check with your retailer to see if they offer pre-loading. You have also been asking when the game will unlock so you can start playing, which applies to digital and retail PC copies. These pertain to PC versions and not to console versions of Dragon Age 2.

Pre-Loading is based on the region you live in. Pre-loading of digital versions begins at the following times:

  • Asia/Pacific region – 18:00 GMT on March 4th
  • Canada & United States – 18:00 GMT on March 4th
  • Russian Federation - 18:00 GMT on March 4th
  • Western Europe – 10:00 GMT March 7th
  • Australia & New Zealand – 09:00 GMT on March 8th
  • Central and South America - 10:00 GMT on March 8th
  • Eastern Europe  – 10:00 GMT March 8th
  • Great Britain & Ireland – 10:00 GMT on March 8th
Unlocking is based on the official game release date for the region you live in. The PC versions, both digital and retail, will unlock beginning at the following times:
  • Asia/Pacific region – 0000h on March 8th
  • Canada & United States – 0000h on March 8th
  • Russian Federation - 0200h on March 8th
  • Western Europe – 0000h on March 10th
  • Australia & New Zealand – 0000h March 9th
  • Central and South America - 1700h March 10th
  • Eastern Europe  – 0000h March 11th
  • Great Britain & Ireland – 0000h March 11th
Get ready, Dragon Age 2 is almost here. :)

Bumping this cause everyone should read it. I told the rep I wanted compensation and I got it. Had to wait a long time though...since you're all looking for something to do...

2 AM CST UNLOCK ?!?! RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE !!!!!

they could at least unlock it on east coast time instead of pacific but noooooooooooooooo...

Ignoring the fake rage and replace it with my real tiredness I just don't care anymore. This stuff is basically par for the course now and there isn't anything anyone can do about it, and those who do have basically no reason to on their end... sigh.

Seriously regretting buying the PC version now. Having to wait 2 more hours or so while my Xbox buddies are slaying Darkspawn right now is really, really disappointing...

I never liked the Xbox version. It was too complex, while not being complex enough. I couldn't get into it. So, I'm not sure how jealous I am, right now. Though, I read that Dragon Age 2 is made more for consoles.

Having played both Demos, the 360 version is pretty good. Though the skill bars and combat still seems better on the PC. Combat on the console versions has become sort of a button mashing experience.

I thought about taking a nap earlier, but decided to wait (At that time I thought the game would actually be released at midnight--so naive)

If the release time is for 0000h in the U.S. then why can't I play it now at 0100h central time?  I can't wait another hour...it's killing me...Posted Image

What's really torturous is talking to your friend on MSN, while she is playing DA2...on the East Coast.
