I'd imagine everyone who pirated the game is having an extra chuckle at all of us suckers right now.

Yeah, I know a few of them personally too...  I wont deny I've done it in the past with other games but never for a bioware game.  It was pretty tempting though to torrent it just to get to play it a few hours earlier, thank you alchohol and this forum keeping me entertained lol

Posting in the official thread.

Nothing I can do about it now, but for games in the future, find a better way. Don't penalize people who are trying to play honestly to catch the rats who play illegally.

You can see you have seriously angered quite a few people. I personally just from this experience will never do another Bioware Midnight release, and will be blatantly telling any gamer I can find about how Bioware really screwed this one up. You went through all the trouble to generate GOOD word of mouth with the call to arms and the facebook impressions and have in one stroke destroyed any good word of mouth I'll generate and anyone seeing my facebook page will see I think this is was a really poor decision. Hopefully more people will post it as well,

I don't need sarcasm about suck it up and wait two hours, I'm a busy person and I need all the planning I did to make sure I could attend this midnight release and have some time to jump in for a few hours before having to get back to real life not to have been for nothing. When I was younger I'd just wait the 2 hours, now, I feel betrayed. Please fix this for your next release and make a BIG deal about it being fixed or you won't see me at another release event. Nor any friends I can convince how bad Bioware is at hosting them.

Open it up per region or open it up for everyone at midnight eastern time, There is nothing to be gained by adding 3 hours to paying customers waiting time to play a game they are excited about.

You're my new favorite person.  I'm reading your posts to my husband to distract him from his ability to play.

I get that a lot...no--I'm totally kidding.  Thanks, though =)

I can't help but feel a little cheated that I drive an hour to a midnight launch pickup my copy and jet back home after waiting at a gamestop for 1 hour 40 mintues - to get home and notice that I wouldn't be able to play until 3:00AM.

I would love to get some kind of Bioware penance to us PC fan's who got more or less screwed by Bioware /EA/ SecuROM.

Free DLC or In game item to make up for the shoddy business tactic of luring someone into going out of their way to get the game legitly only to have the excitement bust when they realize they are going to wait an additional 3 hours.

Either way you look at it - it's terrible to kill excitement for your game to an entire market of players. (Hint: PC gamers) Which you have done by making this terrible design or marketing decision.

Now make up for it in some manner.

Well said, I agree!

I'm cool with waiting.

Just wish that I had known about it before hand so that I could go and pick up my copy, set it up install then sleep for a few hours before getting up for a marathon play session OR if Bioware had axed the midnight release on PC and just release it in the morning so that I could get up early and play it.

Them knowing about it and not making it clear that PC gamers would have to wait to play just irritates me, but as I said previously, it is what it is.

Less then 45 minutes now and I've got a book and a bag of cookies. I'll entertain myself with them until I can play :)

Should I have already received my registration codes for the Signature Edition?

Which version? For the store offerred pre-order items (Gamestop): Feldshear sword and some shield, take the code from your receipt to http://dragonage.bioware.com/redeem

For the regular pre-order items...Black Emporium, soundtrack, etc. There should be a paper inside the box with a code on it. Enter that code on the same site.

Make sure you are logged into the site with the same account you use for the game, don't mix it with whatever account you use for chat, if any.

I got a $15 coupon for yelling at the EA rep in online chat about the trouble. Sat for a 1/2 hour waiting in the online queue...got nothing better to do with my time.

If you ordered the SE from EA Store, you will receive the codes for bonus items when the game unlocks.
