Regardless, it looks like EA's screwed over a -LOT- of people with these varying release dates, not to mention the issues they've been experiencing with the DRM and the like.

Me: I was just wondering if you could confirm the time that the digital version of Dragon Age 2 will unlock for Australia?
Me: Bioware officially said that it would be 0000h March 9th... but steam is saying it's a day and 15 hours away. Can you let me know when Steam and/or EA DM will actually unlock the game to play?

Simon: Can you please stay online while I investigate this issue further?

Simon: I would like to inform you that pre load is only available in North America. And you will get the update for the release for pre load for Australia will be available at the EA Store

I live in NZ. Purchased the game from Steam and realised I got ill-informed about the release date (which confuse me to believe that it will release in 8th March) and now it has a countdown timer of 1day and 7hours.

Read the forum and download EADM. Register my DA2 CD-key and it appeared unreleased two hours ago. Checked it 5 mins ago and the grey-out button "unreleased" had turned to orange button "pre-load". So now I am pre-loading the game and hopefully, as the official date suggest here at this topic, will be able to play the game at 0:00AM 9th March.

Ahh Feck it, steam shafted UK by not giving a realase date at all untill the 7th, and everything else on others sites was ranting about the 8th, NOW the UK has to wait untill the 11th? teach me for taking the day off work.... oh wait i could demand a refund from steam a refund and just pirate the game, Well done devs.
one of the primary rules of beating pirates is making the game more readily available than the pirate version, o lets mek half the world wait 2/3/4 more days......

Direct 2 Drive  (UK) still shows  8th March.

System info
i7 930 with 9gb memory and 5850 HD video card and full 23 inch true 1080hd display with 1.5 terrabyte HD. Experiecing early video screenplay lag then it straightens out. Also numerous fuzzes spots in the graphics. Any chance this getting fixed soon?

I'm really just annoyed with the unlocking tool telling me first one date and then changing it to a later date...

I wonder if when I try unlocking it on march 10, a minute after midnight I'll be given a later date and time again...

Aussies always get screwed by Steam and game publishers deciding that the US is more important than anyone else.
As if releasing the game at the same time all around the world would make a single bit of difference to players in the US.
And even when we get to talk to someone they give screwy info about unlock times or just plain wrong info.

i just got my DA2 to work with a US vpn service, changed my computer clock to us west coast time and reopend steam after activating the vpn service it says play now

A strange thing: Steam claims the game to be available at "march, 9". The problem is - the only countries with a release date march 9 is Australia and Nz, and I'm pretty much sure that I'm not in Aus. or NZ. It is already clear that they have a real problem with a time, but a geography... I thought it is pretty much straightforward conception

To the guys who contact EA livechat, try contact their livechat again, you wont get the same answer if the person changed, thats how professional they are. Like a flock of lost sheep, cold, lonely and totally useless.
