If we keep taking this kind of s*** from gaming companies, we will always be treated like kids playing games.. Im just trying to say they should respect us more..

well at least do what they say  if the release is the 8th they should warm us before and at least say something not change the release and make us pass like if we are idiots that dint notice the change of the release date..

They are all to blame as far as I can tell, if they can't descide the date to release a product, then all to fail the consumer test.

Stop being picky, the game is complete, RELEASE IT.

Only bottleneck in this case are the brick and mortar store that QQ over alleged lost sales if the DD would release the game on the same day everywhere.
IMO, the people who buy physical copies, will buy them anyway, this is jsut a stupid excuse for the B&M stores.

Unlocking is based on the official game release date for the region you live in. The PC versions, both digital and retail, will unlock beginning at the following times:

* Asia/Pacific region – 0000h on March 8th

I'm in Asia (Saudi Arabia) and I can't play the game!!
pre-order it from steam
and pre-loading is done

I would be pissed off, however i would blame the reseller, not the company who made the car as they have nothing to with it.
Just as in this case, blame wherever you bought the game, but do not blame Bioware.

Well making paying customers wait while ppl playing pirate copies are ....well i guess by now they're close to completing the game while they complain about ppl playing pirate copies.  Doing like this, what they're doing now is just throwing gas on that fire and push more and more into actually becoming pissed and start going pirate.
Do you honestly think the stores tells the publisher what date a game is supposed to be sold? This is exactly why a game store can get in trouble for selling a game before the date that has been set.  So yes,  its Bioware/EA that keeps pushing dates around.  Cant see the point in why a digital distrubitor would  ruin their own sales.

No no, I perfectly understand, hell, I am furious right now. Half the day it said "Releasing on 8th of March 2011" and just moments ago it changed to 11th of March. I'm jsut saying that these ABSOLUTELY pointless different release dates are because of stupid brick and mortar store crying over their losing influence on customers.

ea own bioware so sorry but it is both fault im not blaming only bioware im blaming both

the ea is good to come out with those news and ****** off its customers and penalize more the customers that pay then the one that play the pirated one..

The digital release is tied with retail release, it's the old ancient way of doing it. Now in 2011 these companies still have no clue whatsoever that we live in a global world and they still try to do regional releases.

How about get your head outta your butts EA? You only ****** off legit users doing ****backwards releases.

It's like when the movie industry tried to stop you from importing movie DVDs.

Fantastic job on creating a timewindow for piracy for all non-us fans.

Right now i have the game in my PC, complete, bought from the same place as many others who are already playing it, with (probably) more taxes payed. But it's locked due to the decision of the "suits". Bravo!

Lesson learned. I'm seriously considering a torrent next time - it's more democratic and more efficient.

I am extremely disappointed by how unorganized this launch is, post #1 states Asia/Pacific release is on 0000h March 8th. Retail released right on time, and steam decided to kick the date to March 10th instead without any notification.

I know right... Seriously.. I have never ever complained about Steam so far but this is really weak. As a long time and faithful customer of Steam owning over 40games from Steam..I am disappointed. And now it says March 9, better than the previous Mar 10th but still no Good Steam. Still no good,

Agreed, some kind of warning would have been nice. I just logged onto gamespot today and say this was being released "today" so I rushed over to GamersGate to buy and download it. They also say todays date there.

It was not until I had paid, downloaded and installed it that a Securom message pops up to politely tell me I am not allowed play the game I just downloaded until midnight on the 10th.

I can fully understand the argument that we can not allow digital retailers an unfair date advantage over highstreet "mortar" sellers. Thats all fair! But if thats the way you want to do things then an honest non pirate buyer like me should either:

a) Be told this when paying for and downloading the game that I will not be allowed play what I paid for with my money OR
B) Simply do not let the digital retailer sell it until the day you can play it.

It is not the wait I am pissed off about, its being told today was the day, being let pay for it and download it, and only THEN being told the truth. I feel I have been shafted and conned.

I used to work high up for Game and the BnM stores actually weild a great deal of clout. EA and Game don't have the best of history - infact I remember getting a memo from HQ saying to pull all the Sims games off the shelves and take down the instore Sims displays and only sell copies of the game to customers who specifically asked for them - all due to some stupid corperate spat  which I won't go into. I don't think a store would ever actually do it - but they can do alot to publishers - refuse to sell their games, refuse to trade-in used games etc etc, make it harder to sell units basically. I think in this day and age only those with capped internet (for digital downloads) no fixed address (for internet shopping) those who want the game on the DAY they decide to buy it, or casual gamers/parents of gamers who browse stores without a specific purchase in mind, should rely on BnM stores - especially kids too young to have credit cards, thus unable to order online. I can't wait for BnM stores to die and let digital stores flourish so we can see GLOBAL play dates :D

I understand, what i wanted to say is just that it is just how it has always been in this industry (except Blizzard :s). I do not think it is fair, and i do think that games should be released on the same day worldwide. But when you think about it, they do not have different release dates just to annoy us gamers, they most have their reasons.

Pirates will always get the game first, global release day or not. The best solution may be to play the pirated version until the game is released, and the buy it.

You can lick the packaging and smell the 'new game' smell. Us steamers have to refresh BW forums every 2 seconds in the vain hope that EA caves into pressure.
