I'm sitting here, Wednesday 9th of March at 10:08 AM and it's not unlocking. And the SecuROM check tells me that I have to wait until 1 in the morning tomorrow when two days ago it said 8PM on the 8th of March. This damn thing keeps on changing it's tune, which is freaking annoying. Looks like I'll be staying up to play, or going to bed early and getting up early. That works. But yeah, annoying. -.-;

Now is there a fix like that which would work for Steam? Alas, Steam doesn't seem to be able to connect through IP Hider.

So for us Brits that used Steam are basically F***ed? I tried the IP thing, Steam wouldn't activate with it. Sometimes I hate living here. All the good stuff comes out in America.

Soooooo , I live in the EU(Poland) and because of that I have to wait to play the game i bought until the 11th even tho everyone and their aunt in the US etc. is playing it atm and the torrent engines are full of links and ready to download? I call BS Bioware, BS.... First Fallout on Steam, now this crap.
I'm 26, bought and finished all the games you guys made from Baldurs Gate 1 and Planescape Torment untill now(yes even the BADBADBAD Lionheart) but one more thing like this and it's bye bye for me, I'm not gonna get treated like a 2nd class human just because I live in the EU.

I'm using a PC and I bought the game at Best Buy. It is only happening on my laptop, not my desktop.

Hello Melo man. I ordered and have pre-loaded Dragon Age 2 on Steam over here in Australia (Perth). As of 8am, the 9th of March 2011, the game has not been released yet! Any idea what's going on here? Is this a bug or oversight on someone's part, or is the game really not coming out till 10th March? Cheers.

Hey buddy, I have the same problem but I'm on a Mac and not doing it through Steam. I got my version through "GameTree Mac" and was allowed to download it on the 4th. I have to wait until the 9th at 1 in the morning for mine.

Why can't they release something at the same time? What's the point in making everyone wait? Honestly. It's stupid. Particularly if they want people to keep on buying their stuff.

Yo Captain Fry, Yeah it's a real pain. Especially when the so-called official word was that it'd be available on 9th March for online orders/downloads! I'm tempted to try out this IP switch thing that these guys have been talking about, but I wonder if my account might get banned? Might not be worth it...

I'm with you on this one, Yebisu85. Its somewhat understandable with the hard copies to give different release dates (due to shipping and all) but the "Buy online" option....what the hell Bioware....you guys are seriously neglacting your customer base in Europe. One should think that a company that tries so hard to fight off piracy would have seen a possible problem here

I seriously hope that lovely Bioware will think about this in the future(Balders Gate 3, fingers crossed for a decade!). After all, i love the games they make and would do nearly anything to get my hands on them on the actual release date. Oh well, off to some other adventure for the next 2 days

I have a feeling that those release times were in GMT, however since there is still nothing available, and the fact that the Steam Store shows that it will be unlocked in 23 hours, I can only assume that the 9th was a misprint and the actual release is 10th of March at 00:00 GMT (Which is currently around 11:00am AEDT).

I agree that it probably isn't worth it. I am happy to wait another day. Besides will the pre-purchase items be available if you do this?
