Steam is saying 18 hours now before it unlocks. WTF who's brilliant idea was it to not have a global release date? Instead of playing it midnight it won't unlock until 9,10 or 6 am depending where in Australia you are. ****** weak effort here steam.

I'm in Australia. If you check the first post in this thread, it says the unlock time is 0000 on the 9th of March (17 hours ago). The EA Download Manager version of the game says it doesn't unlock until 0100 on the 10th.

Edit to respond to your edit:  I didn't think the time zone difference was all that big for Queensland, but if you're planning on being up late or waking up early and have download to burn then you can register your Dragon Age 2 on the EA Download Manager with the CD key you got from Steam. It's telling me it will unlock at 0100 on the 10th and I'm in Melbourne, so it'd let you unlock it a bit earlier than Steam, but you'd have to download it again.

The 9th is the Europe release date isn't it? I dunno I think things could of been made a lot more simple

Dragon Age 2 should unlock on Steam at 9 AM AEST. That's for people in Queensland and any other eastern state not under the effects of day light savings.

That's meant to be in AEST as far as anyone knows, but either way there's no timezone in the world where it's 0000 on March 9th when it's 0100 on March 10th in Australia.

Anyone having problems with right click on mouse. Mine jumps sideways and back. makes it extremely difficult to move and fight and it is becomong a problem. I have dual gtx 295s, windows 7 home, 12 gb and updated drivers. Any suggestion?../../../images/forum/emoticons/sad.png

If it's steam I am assuming they'll just unlock when the game becomes available. All the other download versions I am assuming will send an email with serial and bonus item keys.

It seems almost like an invite for the impatient to pirate. Preorder and you'll get bonus gear but you'll have to wait *insert your release date* or you could go download it illegally and play it now.

Not really.  At this stage I am burdened with a wee problem of actually getting into the game.

Where did you pre-order from?

Are you referring to the Fadeshear and Lion of Orlais content or the Signature Addition content?  If it is the latter and you purchased the boxed product, then you should find the additional content code within.  Otherwise, if you are referring to the former, then you should be getting a seperate key altogether from EA.

No idea. But the time on my copy says 22:00 tonight. Its currently 15:00

Checked the developer posts in this thread, Fernando says the times are supposed to be local times, so it should have been available to play at midnight last night.  Something has screwed up here.

You know, I realise the website was just terrible for most of the day, however, I just can't understand that none of the mods or devs have addressed this issue. No acknowledgements, just a whole lot of silence.

This whole launch is seriously making me reconsider getting TOR and ME3 (as much s ilove my ME), considering the lack of comment on the issue and the constantly getting shafted by game companies down here, I just don't even know if it's worth sticking with (my main love i might add) gaming on the PC as companies like Bioware are seeming to be primarily concerned with Console-esque gameplay now rather than the hallmarks of the rpg genre that made them what they are. It's a shame cause i thought Bioware make really good games said as someone having played almost every Bioware game they've released; i see the grubby little hoofprints of where EA's trampled them into the make us money not good games mold.
