Email I received from Play-Asia just now. [Sorry to place this here, I think its relevant to the thread topic]
Dear ******
Thank you for contacting Play-Asia.com.
We are sorry that the US version of Signature Edition is only available for
some major sellers in US. We cannot get any copy of the US version of
Signature Edition available for sale.
For the Asian version Signature Edition, we are expecting to receive a
small number of copy. We haven't accept pre-order now. We are sorry that
you have to keep checking from our website for the availability of the
Asian version Signature Edition. There is no priority given to any customer
to order the Asian version Signature Edition.
For your current order, would you like to cancel the order or change to the
normal version of the game?
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Best regards,
Kasel

Wait, what? Theres a US version and an Asian version? And the US version is only available in US?
Play-Asia has always been reliable, so I don't see them as two-bit scammers. This explanation is really weird though.

I got a similar e-mail as well (well, actually, my sister who helped me with the pre-order got it). I'm just so livid that they could not tell us about this cancelation earlier, then I could have searched for other options. Also, in my e-mail, they had the nerve to say "we can't send you the signature edition, but we can sell you the NORMAL edition, for the SAME PRICE! Mwahahahah!" Okay, some embelishment there, but the essential message is still intact.
Oh well, the truth is that I didn't have much other options. I had to choice to running all over Singapore in order to search all their listed "suppliers" of the limited edition, which I did, and NONE of them had any left. And I had the choice of relying on a more expensive import option, which I did as well!
Whether it's Play-Asia or EA, someone is going to pay.
