he was good to have around once I got him to stop hitting on me. He also had interesting adventures and he wasn't a wannabe his age was catching up with him thats all

I get that you don't like him, but what's the point in being so hateful? If you don't like him, fine, but randomly commenting to people about it is just spiteful.

All in good fun is all in good fun. Some people post nothing but loving anecdotes about all the squishy, wonderful characters. I have just as much a right to post nothing but anecdotes about how I hate some of them.

Furthermore, I don't even think that Zevran was a bad character or badly written character. I just hate his personality.

On the internet, that's called "flaming". And that's not really accepted. It's like saying "It's okay for me to insult that women, because everyone else is complimenting her!"

I didn't particularly like Zevran, but there's no need to be like that.

Zevran bored me to death. I really just wanted to blow off his head, but in the end I decided to have him as extra firepower.

I noticed Zev's armor is flat and pixellated. This godawful pic could just be the prelude to his later looks, like the Isabela shenanigans. The first pic we saw of her wasn't exactly charming with that strange uber-chin.

Or I'll just go with the theory that someone took an ugly candid screenie of him, too. That works.

Is it also flaming that people start thread to do nothing but gush about players, which is so obviously irritiating to me and som other regular members of the forums? 

If you're going to take it so seriously, then it's flaming to you. If others will take it as a joke, then it's a joke. I wasn't trying to insult anyone with the fact that I hated the guy. Nor am I going to pretend that I didn't hate the guy.

Thane actually had a crisis of identity. He had remorse. He had a desire for redemption. All Zevran had was selfishness and hedonism.

If you actually talked to Zevran you'd see that he had alot of remorse

Quite the contrary; Thane is one of the few characters I find myself talking to out of actual interest and to know more about. As a result, I find him anything but boring. Quite frankly, I never understood how one can see him as a space version of Zevran. The only thing the two have in common is their profession, but that's where the similarities wear off.

They both have lost women they love, they're both assassins, they are both remorseful/depressive about their love history & it is a point of conversation when romancing them, though Thane definitely more so... which is what annoys me about Thane, personally, but then again, his romance/friendship was far too short.

I guess I was probably wrong with that assessment. Apologies.

My point, though, is Zevran simply doesn't have the same "magic" as Thane. To me, Thane feels more personal, more developed and overall a deeper character. Zevran didn't strike me as such, as much as I tried to like him. I only kept him for the extra firepower; I was never interested in him as a character, as opposed to the other companions.

I never really liked zevran, too greasy for my liking, ever since the play through where he turned on my character I now slit his throat at the first meeting, not my kind of thing but I just don't want him in the party.

I'd love to see him very different now actually... somber and businesslike to represent the actual RP he went through. (Of course, personality would vary depending on the ending.)

As for the moron Alistair - I hope my Hawke can meet him so he can smack a ****. Alistair is a drunk loser somewhere in my campaign - and good riddance. I hope Queen Anora finally caught up with him and killed him without me knowing.
