No ff reduces the other difficulties to mindless AOE fests, why would you roll anything other then archers and elemental mages with like a tank >.>

 I might. The combat system seems a lot more versatile in this entry.

While I loved Origins to death, being unable set Wynne to revive kind of killed higher difficulties for me.

Challenge Accepted! Sorry I had to say that.
I don't consider myself a particularly good strategist or gamer but normal on the demo was ridiculously easy. I was going to be a wimp and just go for Hard but this thread has convinced me to try Nightmare from the word go. I'll be playing a mage so it will definately force me to think more carefully about my skill choices and where I place my attacks which can only be a good thing

I pause a lot anyway, so I've always intended to start on nightmare (for the friendly fire). I'll work my way down if it turns out to be too much for me.

But I don't think there's going to be an achievement for completing nightmare difficulty.... ?

If nightmare is only as tough as DA:O hard, you can probably solo it with a super buffed melee dps like before xD

Nightmare seems to be the most satisfying and exciting mode for the two most recent Bioware games so lets BRING IT ON!!

Def going to do this. If DA2 has half the replay value of DA:O, I'll do it many times. I just hope the classes are deep b/c I enjoy pushing them to their extremes to see what can be done. Like the Arcane Warrior... people complained about how overpowered it was, but how many of them were willing to take it solo through GoA? That's how I roll. Play. Roll Play!
