When does the game actually ship though?

I ordered mine from Game, and we all know it's coming out on the 11th for europe, but when does it actually ship? on the 11th? o.o

Because i dont have to pay until the game has been dispatched.

I'm kind've wondering about this. It's the first time I'm getting a game shipped since I preordered for all the DLC. If it doesn't get here on Tuesday I am not going to be happy.

When you get it does it come in the morning or does it just depend on your area?

Nope. EA thought it was a good idea to give us (Europeans) the game 3 days later, as usual. "Because games are usually released on Friday in Europe" my arse.

So what day do games normally come out in Europe?

I'm hoping the copy I pre-ordered from Bestbuy shows up on release day. Gonna be a wasted day off from work otherwise.

I haven't ordered physical copies of PC games in a long time. But, sometimes I really want a game that only comes out on the consoles. My experience from release day shipping for those games was dependent on the carrier. If it was FedEx, I usually get it in the morning, but FedEx has some pretty tight delivery windows so you usually know when you're going to get your item. If it was FedEx, chances are they used a shipping type that guarantees delivery by noon. Again, for me, that's usually before 9 am (I think I'm fairly early in their delivery route as they tend to leave the distro center where I live at around 8:30 am).

UPS, on the other hand does not have nearly as good a scheduling window as FedEx. I shudder whenever I only have UPS as a shipping option. For me, at least, it usually means I don't get my delivery till evening.

I am having mine shipped via amazon for release date delivery. Knowing how UPS operates around here though, I probably will get it around 4 or 5pm.

Wow that must a pain for the stores selling games.  At least here in the US you only have to change with your displays once per week.

Don't game releases happen on Fridays in Europe because that's when the majority of people get paid salary?

No, it hasn't shipped, and I don't really expect it to until the 8th. I ordered from Amazon, and their delivery estimate is the 10th. I'm hoping they're wrong, but who knows.

At least the strategy guide will arrive on the 8th...

Don't think so, for example in France you get paid at the end of the month on no specific day

Do you guys know what the EA Store's policy on shipping for preordered games? (does it arrive on release day or ship on release day?)

EA just wants to give the US and Canada a head start over Europe.
Blasted, if I were back home right now, I'd have the game on the 8th as well.

Curse you EA!

No. Its likely to ship Tuesday/Wednesday for me. My previous preorders from GAME usually arrive a day before the street date though, so Thursday at the earliest or Friday (the actual release day here in Great Britania) at the latest.

I have release day shipping from Amazon, and UPS usually delivers all our stuff. They always come at around 8-10 am. Last I checked, it said I would be getting it on the 8th...

Games are typically released on Tuesday in North America. They could have released the game everywhere this week but they are just keeping with traditional release dates. Everyone should stop acting like a junkie looking for a fix.
