I got my email, but I ordered 2nd day air. One of my concerns/thoughts is that they may ship overnights after regular shipping so they all get where they need to go at the same time. The problem with this is, it makes expedited shipping useless...

ya best buy didnt even have it "pending" yet, the shipping has not even started. I changed it to next day shipping and they didnt charge me because when I ordered it, the gal said it would arrive on the 8th. Im pretty pissed.

Awww, got me excited only to check and see that it hasn't shipped XP.

But out of curiosity, anyone ever order a game like this through amazon in Canada? I normally get my games from someplace like Gamestop but I wasn't risking them screwing up my signature edition so I went with Amazon. But their shipping estimate is that Friday which seems kinda slow. I kinda want to know if that's jut a 'safety date' or if the odds are it really wont ship until then. Anyone know XP?

I figure that contractual limits on when stores can actually release games are a big part of when a game ships.  For instance, I have a free subsciption to Amazon Prime so many of my games have free release date shipping.  Now, it would be much more cost effective for them to send it via slower mail and just time it so that I get my game on release day, as opposed to waiting and having to fly it out and put a big rush on it the night before.  But every game that I've gotten on release day has not shipped until the Monday night before.

But I suppose I can understand the need to wait since sending it early could result in copies getting out there prior to the official release date

Ok, I pre-ordered from the EA store in February. I have the order confirmation email saved, but when I check the EA store site, it only lists my digital download of Awakenings. Should I not expect to get a notification until release, or does it sound like they misplaced my order?

Pre-Ordered SE from EA Store:

Got email saying it has been shipped (and credit card charged). Tracking numbers don't work yet (acknowledges them though) and UPS says it is on 2-Day Air. So all is good for Tuesday. Too bad I got a final on Wednesday.

I think a better question would be who here (who has preordered through Gamestop online) has thier order status set as shipped or pending. mine is also backordered, but if everyone seems to be suffering the same problem, then I doubt its a major issue.

apparently its (back ordered) even though i placed order in mid december,, so i guess no DA:2 SE for me..now I get to pay for DLC after the fact (which will cost more)

wtf is with suppliers selling you something, then not even giving you an update if something is wrong?

Bioware get this crap straightened out, first Play.com now gamestop... get your distributers in line FFS!!

Its not you, its everyone. Like I said, if EVERYONE is experiencing this problem, then its probably a non-issue.

read a message a few posts back about gamestop has thier "backorder" status because they dont have them yet?

According to thier site I must allow 2 days for processing and 1 day for shipping.. its saturday.. so even if they get them monday i wont play until thursday??
