Agreed, I should not have risen to the bait, my apologies.

But ... if you plan on having me beaten for this ... can you get Isabel to do it ... probably wouldn't hurt any less, but somehow it wouldn't matter.  ; )

WoolyJoe, cut it out. You're not helping.

Bruno Hslaw, please keep the real world politics out of it. I find it rather ironic that you, one of our longtime "conscientious objectors," are complaining about being singled out for your acerbic and highly negative tone. As someone familiar with you and your posting style, I will ask you to please stop being confrontational and let this political debate die down.

Never started any debate simply objected to being called an American when I am not one. I have my own heritage and am proud of it that is all. I never mentioned politics in any way. Since you have actually asked me in a pleasant manner I am glad to oblige in a similar fashion. (if the US invaded Scotland that would definately be illegal after all)

I am glad to leave this topic I just ask that the folk here leave it with the PMs etc if it ends let it finish here, Rather than the cheap shots starting up. As I have no objection to returning if the demand is high enough. Adios.

Lol I a am not American so keep your assumptions about American free speech laws whatever to yourselves. I am simply saying BW is restricting my freedom to respond. Then you are lucky that Bioware is not like me. When I encounter people as you they are usually "gone" in about a day or so. I very seldomly can stand commiseration.

You can have your opinion, that's fine. However nobody here attacked you personally as you continually do. John said to everybody (not only you) to chill up and now you are playing the victim as if someone did shut you up. Who in his/her right mind would shut you up (as you put it) for what you say? Seriously and without offense, but you really are the worst advocate to your cause that you will ever find.

Aren't you able to keep a conversation civil without attacking others? Fine, then stand by it and go on until the ban, without regret. Or either understand what you are doing wrong and try to change your attitude. Whatever you do just don't start commiserating yourself, it is so... pathetic.

Just had to say something to both parties here:

People who like DA2 need to understand that others won't.

People who don't like DA2 need to understand that others will.

And thus everyone needs to realize that any opinionated comment will be met with disagreement from someone, perhaps even trolling.

We all gotta understand that everyone's opinion has value, otherwise everyone's opinion will lose it's value, and simply become glorified flamebait.

Well of course they made it for money. They make games for a living.
But it takes passion to make such a beautiful game.
I also thank Bioware for all the hard work. <3

Seeing the reactions on bsn, I notice one thing.

Opinions are very mixed. Two camps, a real break. There is no half measure. Moreover, it lacks a half measure. :? And not only on the side of the camp criticism.

How many times have I seen people try to contribute by criticizing Bioware constructively, and how many times their topic has been closed because of some fanatics.

Troll whenever there is a criticism, it's ridiculous. Just as simply multiply the topics to scream his hatred. " Yes Bioware your game sucks."

Must understand that simply mean to thank you Bioware, is not the only way to be a fan, like to hear his love bioware and proclaim that we are already satisfied with what they do, doesn't mean we are a fanboy or a dumb.

One can love Bioware, but also help make better game in what is believed to be, pointing the wrong or right direction.

We can fully endorse what is done in complete understanding and agreement with his own thoughts of what an RPG should be and how it should evolve.

In any case there is a real intolerance on the forum. Some just made a topic saying that they canceled their pre-order, without being insulting. Why troll, and ask them to leave the forum ? I really don't understand the logic. :?

It is not because it dislikes DA2, it no longer loves Bioware, or need to react defensively. The player is already bitter, dissatisfied with what has been done with the game, why add more ? Just what is the point ?

I don't agree with certain things that have been made in DA2 or M2, which are very wrong for me to repair. It doesn't mean that I no longer love Bioware, or their games. Instead, I want them to do better, of course my interpretation of what needs to be better.

If we disagree with the criticism, why not focus on other topics? Or respond by struggling just to give an opposite opinion or contribute? Why still want to ridicule the players? It's stupid I think.

If the player is a troll, the moderators will close the topic.

Anyway, I hope it's internet that did it. :P

Otherwise, I will not thank Bioware, I have done and start again whenever I'm impressed, or that there comes the sudden urge to scream my love.

Caveats and "yeah buts" can go somewhere else for me. I'll take the opportunity to say thank you to BioWare for creating a product that I care enough about to be spending this much time simply anticipating its arrival.

Thank you DA2 team for your hard work and creativity.

I shall thank bioware with my munnies I have set aside just for this game X3
But one thing that was awesome was the free DLC if you preordered early and the giving of the two items when the demo download quota was met!

I know Bioware gets some good advertising from most of that too, but I don't mind that. The people who are buying the game benefit, Bioware benefits etc etc and I am pretty sure that is probably typical of most companies who are selling a product but hey! I will thank them anyway :>
Cause lord knows I can't design my own video games lol

Sorry, Bioware...
I couldn't help it; there was something brilliantly caustic, even poignant about its delivery that just made me laugh
I didn't read on in the thread after I read the post, so I didn't know how out of hand the whole thing had gotten...
My bad...

On-topic: Cheers for BGII, KotOR, ME and DA, Bioware. Appreciate it

Thirded.

I've done my share of complaining about the changes made to individual features, but I know I'm still going to love this game.  And ME3 and TOR.  Bioware hasn't released a game that I haven't loved.  Except for the two I haven't played.  But well, I bet I would love them.

Huh, I was expecting a "thanks for ruining the game" thread.

Very refreshing with a poistive thread!

And I agree, BioWare is a great developer, I've enjoyed every single BioWare game I've played.

Keep up the good work! :)

That is acceptable, providing you can properly pronounce "ASDFGHJKL".

We should all thank BioWare for the wonderful work they've put into this series. Without them this game would've never happened! They didnt HAVE to make a sequal, but they did. Thanks for everything Bioware, thanks for giving us this wonderful game that we will spend countless hours on!

Yes they most definitely had to make a sequal and they most definitely will have to make Trilogy ^_^ The only thing to fear is the third game...usually bioware stops most of their series at the big 3 :(

Yes, thanks for this and other games. I will set aside a few slices of pizza this Saturday as an offering in your honor.*

*To be carefully wrapped in foil and stored in the fridge for consumption three-four days later. Also, it will be pepperoni & pineapple...what?! It's not that weird!!!!
