I just a new PC that I'm pretty sure can run Kotor on max setting's, but amazon has the game for $40 and I don't want to pay that much. Is there any place cheaper ?

Any help would be great.

I'm kinda new to PC gaming, so any other tips to play this game good on PC would be very helpful.

Yep kotor on steam is worth it. And you can still mod it too.

...and then there's always the Star Wars: Best of PC boxed set, which comes with 4 other games you can play after getting tired of KOTOR.

I got it but it won't play on my new laptop. (The cd). It hangs during cutscenes. I've tried a lot of things to get it to work...running Dx 9.xc, running in compatibility mode...nada. Made it to the cutscene trying to leave Taris and that's all folks.

Running Win 7 home premium 64 bit. :( pout

It's still available through Amazon, if you prefer a physical copy.

A bit late for the OP but I picked up a Star Wars compilation pack from Game for £15 the other day.

It has:
Empire at War
KOTOR
Battlefront
Jedi Outcast
Republic Commando

and a 14 day free trial for Star Wars galaxies

I get the pack they sell in retail with a bunch of other games. Best deal by far. Though there might be a KotOR 1 and 2 combo thing out there on amazon.

I prefer physical disks mind you.
