If bioware could add a new class to Dragon age 2, what would it be?

I like a lot!

Also, probably as a sub-class of rogue or warrior, I'd like to see a class that makes use of a single longsword - much like you could do in KotOR with the skill dueling.

There is something honorable and noble in that fighting style if you ask me.

Druid -- basically a mage using nature and arcane/spirit stuff and shapeshifting. My fav class for WoW.

DAII has the basic classes, all other classes used in games are a variation of those three.

Yeah, I thought a kinda Feral Druid would be quite a good class to play DA2 style. The only thing that stopped me, was the fact that it's a bit too much like a Mage -- with the shapeshifting and heals/nature spells.

None. All DA needs is the classic 3.

this. I can't see any extra classes working in this type of game.

3+ classes works rather well in every other cRPG...

I wouldn't mind a red mage type job that has weaker attacks than warriors, weaker spells than mages, but can debuff, heal, and buff the party. Different sub genres could swing towards offensive spells, attack, debuff, or buffing. I'm bad with names, but there's a start.

I still want my monk class. Or at least a specialization for a warrior to become a monk.

Nothing. I can't think of a single thing that doesn't fit as a specialization for an existing class. Although, the idea of adding specializations fills me with joy.

I vote that BioWare step away from episodic-like DLC, and add more map blips. And with these map blips, award new specializations as completion awards that carry across playthroughs.

Wild mage, like there was in BG2: ToB.
Nothing quite like having all your gold go *POOF* after a wild magic surge, or for a cow to come falling from the sky on your target.

Machine gunner :D
(w/ matching Revenant LMG! People keep saying 'Dragon Effect', so why not go all the way...)

A monk would be nice, especially one that uses a more 'grounded' style (think xingyiquan or baguazhang or taijiquan, instead of the flipping/acrobatic thingy the new rogue does)

Clerics and monks are really the only two separate enough from the other 3, and as we've seen no divine magic...

Druids maybe, but that would work as a mage spec. Monk could technically work as a warrior spec as well. Honestly, it depends on how you flavor them.

No psychics...
Savant? The jack-of-all trades?
Artificer wouldn't work here.

Frankly, yeah, most could be covered with a spec. Which I would like to see more of, even if the trees are larger than DAO.
