I opened up Mass Effect 2 the other day, after not playing it for a while. Much to my horror all my saved games were gone. Between my brother and I we had twelve characters all imported from mass effect 1. So you can imagine I was literally freaking ot when I realized all those hours of gameplay was down the drain. We had finished mass effect 2 several times over and played all the dlcs. Anyway I hadn't played the game for months, but I  got dragon age ultimate editition about 3 weeks ago. I downloaded the dragonblood armor and opened the game to see if it worked. At that time all my saves were intact and the game was working fine. I downloaded the alternate appearance pack 2 last night and I opened the game and it was acting weird. Iw would not let me log onto the cerberus network, and I have to put my password in and start it manually. When I got it started there we no saved games. Instead of load game or resume the menu only said new game. I checked mass effect 1 and all the games were gone there too. I checked the bioware folder in my documents and tthere were no saves there. I lookin in program files  in the mass effect 2 folder no saves there either. Has anybod heard of a dlc ereasing saved games? Is there a back file/folder where the games might be, or insome different directory? The only other thing i can think of is that the dragon age ultimate edition was giving  me trouble because it wouldn't recognize the dlc that it came with. I had to uninstall it and reinstall it to get everything to work. Maybe the games were erased in that whole process? I don't really kno, has this appened to anybody else/ Does anybody have any solutions?

That's where they should be. If they're not there it sounds like they're gone. :/ I don't suppose your Windows installation is set to keep backups of your documents folder? Sometimes you can revert. (Right-click on the Save folder, click Properties, select Previous Versions. That's for Windows 7, anyhow.)

No, I haven't. I'm afraid I have no idea what could have happened.

That's all well and good, but I wish to have my saves. Just a few minutes ago, I saved a ME2 character. The game did not save the data, I went into mydocuments to find it, while I have a save folder, nothing ever appears in it.

Did the patches do this or a bad intsall? Or something else?
