I am sure others have the "best" build for archers but the last I ran and, had a blast in Origins with, was Rogue, Bard and Ranger
I did a mix of Cunning and Dex with slightly more in Dex than Cunning, and will probably cap out at 45-55(plus gear) Cunning in Awakenings to pump rest in Dex. My skills were max all archery skills, and rogue skills as I wanted, like stealth, locks, I did have dirty fighting(great stun for close quarters) maxed Ranger and three in Bard. I went Bard because none of the others were really good for an Archer in Origins and with 3 levels it boosted attack and damage some even without insanely high cunning. Ranger gave another meat shield for battles and occasional blood bag for my Blood mages. Neither Duelist or Assassin seemed geared for good use in Archers, with most assassin skills only Melee and Duelist really only helped in hitting other than melee again, and with high Dex hitting was never really an issue. So I felt the bonus damage from Bard and the extra melee from animals was the best route for me, and as I said it worked well and I had a blast.
I played with a party of Alister as a meat shield, Lili, plus Wynn for a mage but either would work. Things died pretty fast later in the game, and I rarely got hurt, with mage and two Death Arrows plus all the shatter shots. Lili was also a bard ranger so I had a party of 6 with 3 melee and two archers and a mage, which seemed to me to work very well and was very fun. I liked to stealth around and open with a Death arrow or shattering shot on the biggest threat, if it lived Lili would hit with a death arrow soon after and it usually died.
