ManHawke looks like he has bad pec implants and, as Garrus would say, his waist looks very...supportive. Is this some sort of male ideal I wasn't aware of?

OP may need to research what a man who spends some time at the gym and watches what he eats looks like.
No. 2 is definitely overdeveloped. He spends too much time at the gym (and probably not enough watching what he eats).
No. 1 does not look like No. 2.
No. 1 is fine. His walking posture may be a little odd in that shot, but his body is fine.

Trust me, I'm an expert.

@ JasonPogo... a little chest hair would have been nice. If you're on PC, expect it to be fixed in a mod. If you're on a console, you're SOL. Sorry.
