My point being the body type chosen for hawke is not unreasonable or unbelievable.

I see ordinary human beings who look like this all the time. I personally know several, including my brother-in-law. Also, what does being paid have to do with it? The only thing unusual about male Hawke anatomically is that his obliques and hips are underdeveloped considering the degree of pec/deltoid development, but there are many people who look like that naturally that just play sports. Genetics also play a role in how wide your pelvis, ribcage, and clavical are, all of which contribute to the V (Big upper torso/small waist) look.Eterna5 wrote...
OP may need to research what a man who spends some time at the gym and watches what he eats looks like.
Yea, no.
No Ordinary Human being can look like Male Hawke unless they're paid to do so (Male models)
Going to the Gym 3 times a week and eating healthy will not get you that Body.

I must admit I chuckled at the gym-sculpted hip creases.

I hope you didn't take that as an insult. It wasn't intended that way. It's really something, though. As different as most people look on the outside, they all look remarkably similar on the inside. Sure there are variations, but everyone has the exact same parts.distinguetraces wrote...

Then I suppose there must be a few chuckles hidden under all the fat as well.
I can think of one. Phil Davis. And he's a freak of nature.mindbody wrote...

What's so freaky about him? He has a wide shoulder to waist ratio, but other than that?Sylvius the Mad wrote...

Probably a dehydration fast, to get rid of the excess food in the intestines. Lots of models and bodybuilders will also sit in a sauna or take hot baths. I've seen people get their bodyfat below 3%. Of course they can't maintain that. When they start eating again they rebound and gain like 10-12 pounds in glycogen and water alone in thefirst 24-48 hours. But I also see lots of athletes who look just like Hawke. Hawke is probably at about 8% bodyfat give or take. Athletes in season maintain that all season long.distinguetraces wrote...
A while ago I was reading the blog of an underwear model (you know, like you do). This is a guy whose job, except on the occasions when he has a photoshoot, is to be at the gym for many hours a day.
He described his routine before being photographed. To get the sharpest possible definition of the muscles under the skin, he begins a dehydration diet involving coffee and other things about 24 hours before the shoot.
Simply exercising all the fat off isn't enough to get the look required for modern beefcake photographs -- you need to drain the water out, too.
I'm annoyed by the fact that I don't get to decide what my own character's body looks like.TwistedComplex wrote...

Male mage Hawke is a body builder, and my female Hawke will have huge boobs despite the fact that I might not feel like that fits every single character. If I was the kind of person that believed in immersion, being forced to have huge ****** would be the first thing to bring me out of it.

You're misreading me again. It's not big boobs specifically, it's the fact that all my characters are forced to have the same distinct body type.TwistedComplex wrote...

If you were forced to choose just one size to have in a game, what size would it be? Isabella? Thought so. But I understand the RP issue. If they can make dwarf bodies and elf bodies...Dangerfoot wrote...

Not that I hate big boobs in any way shape or form, but I'd rather they just make the default size a big B/small C (which is incidentally a pretty average breast size)mindbody wrote...

In honesty I wouldn't mind the option for wiry, medium build and heavily built for males and petite, athletic/medium build, and thick and stacked for females.
